Jamie Roberts, son of Ben, has just doubled up. The button raised and the small blind flat-called before Roberts reraised all in for about 60,000 more. The button folded after much deliberation but the small blind instantly called with {8-Clubs}

while Roberts turned over {Q-Clubs}

which held on a {4-Spades}

board.

An UTG player makes it 8,000 to go and is called in the next seat by Ken Lennard {K-Spades}

before a MP player three-bets to 25,000. UTG folded before Lennard moved his giant stack over the line. MP called off his last 65,000 but was in bad shape as Lennard showed {K-Spades}

.

The board came {2-Diamonds}

. Lennard is now big chip leader on 400,000.

Bryan Paris raises to 8,200 and Eric Ladny makes it 23,500. Paris moves all in for about 100,000 and Ladny made the call with {A-?}

against Paris' {A-Clubs}

pretty much ending Paris' hopes and although he picked up a flush draw on the turn. He wasn't able to hit on the river.

Daniel Makowsky and an opponent decided to get it all in on a {9-Hearts}

flop. Makowsky's {A-Hearts}

was in great shape against his table mate's {J-Hearts}

. He had to hold though and did through the {5-Hearts}

turn and

river.

Makowsky on 330,000.

It seems the deck is no longer stacked in Ken Lennard's favour. He just lost the biggest pot of the tournament to Eric Landy.

The flop was reading {K-Clubs}

and Landy bet out 17,000. Lennard reraised to 60,000 before Landy moved all in for a total of 214,500 and Lennard snap-called, flipping {A-Hearts}

for the nuts. Landy showed {10-Clubs}

for the second nut straight and needed an ace to chop. The turn was the {Q-Clubs}

and suddenly Landy had a straight-flush draw and when the innocent-looking {4-Clubs}

came on the river, Landy had somehow won the pot.

A huge groan came from the rail and Lennard had to take a moment away from the table as he had just dropped to about 160,000 in chips while Landy was up to almost 450,000.

This tournament is really heating up now with big pots popping up left right and center. The latest saw another bust out and a another monster stack being created as a result.

The flop read {3-Hearts}

and Andre Akkari called a 15,000 bet from Jason Boyes before the turn came {3-Clubs}

. Boyes bet 45,000 this time and after a good two minute tank Akkari moved all in and was snapped off by Boyes holding {7-Hearts}

. Akkari opened {J-Spades}

and his exit was confirmed when the {8-Diamonds}

fell on the river.

Boyes shoots upwards to 450,000.

board, Michael Binger raised a 22,000 bet to 70,000 setting his opponent all in. The other player thought for a good five minutes before calling off his remaining 34,500 chips only to be shown {9-Diamonds}

which cruelly outdrawn the other player's {Q-Diamonds}
