Fight Ends for Ferguson

Chris Ferguson Eliminated
Chris Ferguson Eliminated
Chris Ferguson's long standing fight with his short stack has finally come to an end, with the pro making his last stand on a {A-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop against Josh Arieh.

Ferguson tabled a respectable {A-?}{Q-?} but Arieh had taken the lead with {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

The turn was the {9-Diamonds} and river the {8-Clubs} and Ferguson hits the highway as Arieh adds to his impressive stack.

Lindgren on a Rollercoaster

Erick Lindgren must have won an early pot as he was up well above his 19,000 Day 2 starting stack when we encountered him -- but not for long after he raised preflop and bet out on the {K-Spades} {7-Hearts} {J-Clubs} flop only to fold to a raise on the {5-Spades} turn. Back to 19,000.

Things improved a few hands later though. Stephen Buchanan raised and both Chris Ferguson in the small blind and Lindgren in the big called to see a {K-Spades} {9-Spades} {8-Hearts} flop which all three checked. Lindgren bet the {4-Spades} river and Buchanan called (although Ferguson folded, leaving himself even shorter than before) but Buchanan folded when Lindgren bet out again on the {7-Hearts} river. Lindgren right back up to 30,000.

Nothing Wong With Deeb

Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb raised from early position before Brandon Wong three-bet from the button. The blinds folded and Wong made the call.

They saw a flop of {7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Deeb checked to Wong who fired a bet. Deeb then put in a check-raise before Wong moved all in for his last chips. Deeb made the call.

Deeb: {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Wong: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

Deeb had out-flopped Wong and the when the turn and river bricked {8-Spades}, {K-Clubs} Wong had been sent to the rail with Deeb now at a commanding 116,000 chips.

Not Looking Happy This Morning

- Barny Boatman, coming back with just 12,600 in chips.

- Joe Cassidy -- he's managed not to make it in yet at all.

- Cathleen Tran -- she's short too on just 18,500 and has Erik Seidel next to her to boot.

- Chris Ferguson, who managed to stay in last night after being short most of the day -- but only just...

Sink Song

Kevin Song has lost a sizable pot -- he seems to have check-called all the way down an {A-?} {9-?} {3-?} {J-?} {9-?} board only to give a what-can-you-do shrug and muck when Farzad Banyadi showed him {A-?} {Q-?} to take the pot.

Day 2 Kicks Off Now

Harman - chip leader
Harman - chip leader
Good morning and welcome back to the Brasilia Room, where our $10,000 high rollers are having to share the yellow section with another tournament in a most undignified way.

Nevertheless we will shortly be getting down to business. 116 runners remain, with Jennifer Harman appearing to have snuck into the lead in the last few hands last night. Mark Klecan, Maria Ho, Josh Arieh and Shaun Deeb are all hot on her heels though with over 100,000, so right now it's anyone's game.

We'll be playing today until we hit final table or 3am, whichever comes first. Shuffle up and deal!
