Mattsson Plays the Rush

Ferit Gabriellson raised it up to 100,000 and Stefan Mattsson called out of the big blind.

The flop came down {K-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Mattsson led out with a bet of 150,000. Gabriellson made the call.

The turn landed the {7-Clubs} and both checked to see the {4-Hearts} arrive on the river. Once again both checked and Mattsson tabled {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for the best hand to collect the pot.

Mattsson Doubles through Lunkin

Mattsson raises to 120,000, Lunkin makes the call from the small blind. The flop is the {9-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} and it's checked around, on the {3-Clubs} turn Lunkin bets the pot and Mattsson moves all in with the Russian calling.

Mattsson: {9-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {6-Spades} {4-Diamonds} for two pair, a gutshot and a flush draw.
Lunkin: {K-Clubs} {K-Spades} {7-Hearts} {6-Clubs} for an overpair, pair and a better flush draw.

The river was the {6-Diamonds} giving Lunkin two pair but the Swede's nines and sevens were still good and he doubles through our chip leader to about 950,000.

Barry Greenstein Eliminated in 9th Place ($82,746)

Barry Greenstein - 9th Place
Barry Greenstein - 9th Place
Vitaly Lunkin raised to 120,000, with Barry Greenstein and Josh Arieh defending in the blinds.

The flop fell {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs} and the action checked to Lunkin who fired 200,000. Greenstein then announced a check-raise to 800,000. Arieh quickly got out of the way and it was back on Lunkin with a big decision to make.

After a few minutes of thought, Lunkin tossed a coin and it came up all in, with Greenstein making the quick call.

Lunkin: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Greenstein: {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Lunkin held the lead but Greenstein held a huge flush and wrap draw.

The crowd were on their feet as the turn and river bricked {Q-Diamonds}, {3-Spades}, to miss Greenstein and give Lunkin the pot.

Unbelievably after two hours of grinding we see a huge clash on the first hand back after the break, that results in Barry Greenstein heading to the rail in 9th place to a nice round of applause from the studio audience.

Marcus Takes One

Barry Greenstein raised to 90,000 from under the gun before Van Marcus reraised the pot from late position. The blinds folded and Greenstein made a surprisingly quick laydown as Marcus attempts to get himself back into this contest by winning a small pot.

Oooh, Hands!

Josh Arieh limps in middle position, Lunkin makes up the small blind and Keston checks.

The flop is {8-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {6-Hearts}, Lunkin quickly bets the pot and wins. Excitement from the Russian contingent, everyone else looks a little more bored.

Richard Austin raises to 100,000 from the hijack. Ferit Gabriellson calls from the big blind.

Both players check the {8-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {3-Spades} {9-Spades} {J-Clubs} to the river where Ferit's {A-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {2-Hearts} is the winner.
