Trail KOs Morrella and Jurgens

Rich Morrella ({6-?})({5-?}){A-?} {7-?} {6-?} {J-?} ({4-?})
Travis Trail ({2-?})({5-?}){4-?} {J-?} {6-?} {Q-?} ({A-?})
Tad Jurgens ({7-?})({4-?}){3-?} {3-?} {10-?} {7-?} (?)
Rich Morrella was all in on third street against Travis Trail and Tad Jurgens, who had only 1,600 behind. The last of Jurgens' chips went in on fourth street and Trail called.

Trail ended up making a 6-5-4-2-A low to knock out both Morrella and Jurgens in 26th and 25th places respectively. He's now up to 146,000.

Michael Kinney Eliminated

Michael Kinney was all in for all but 200 chips against Jeff Lisandro. Lisandro made an 8-4-3-2-A low and Kinney mucked. The last of his chips went in on the next hand and he was eliminated in 27th place.

Yan Chen Doubles Through Nikolay Evdakov

Yan Chen (X)(X) {3-?} {7-?} {5-?} {A-?} (X)
Nikolay Evdakov (X)(X) {2-?} {8-?} {5-?} {4-?} (X)

Chen completed on third street and Evdakov called. Chen led out on fourth and fifth streets, Evdakov calling in both spots. Chen bet his remaining 3,900 on sixth street and Evdakov called.

Chen showed {8-?} {2-?} for a made 8-7 low, while Evdakov held {A-?} {2-?} for a made 8-5. Evdakov, however, rivered an ace to make 7-5-3-2-A and double up to 36,000. Evdakov was left with 94,000.

Four First Names, One Pot

Kenna James (X)(X){5-?} {5-?} {4-?} {A-?} (X)
Joseph Michael (X)(X){5-?} {10-?} {Q-?} {2-?} (X)

Kenna James completed on third street, Joseph Michael raised and James made the call. James paired on fourth street, Michael led out and James made the call. Both players checked on fifth street and on sixth, James check-called one more bet. Michael then checked the river to James, who bet out. Michael folded and James took it down, sending his stack up to 75,000.

David Sklansky Eliminated

Do you see why I mucked?
Do you see why I mucked?
David Sklansky was all in against both Joe Tehan and William Cole. Cole already had a made 7-5-4-3-2 low on fifth street and showing {3-?} {9-?} {3-?}, Sklansky simply mucked his hand before his final card could be dealt, knowing he was drawing dead.

Sklansky finished in 29th place, while Cole is up to 105,000.

You're Not the Only One Who Missed the Points

Daniel Negreanu just popped into the Brasilia Room to see if John Juanda was still in the tournament. The players at his old table told Negreanu what happened.

"Really? OH BOY! JJ got 28th? Oh, 33rd! That's even worse!" he cackled as he heard about Juanda's bubble finish.

Bubble Boy= John Juanda

Jeff Lisandro ({2-?})({7-?}){10-?} {5-?} {6-?} {4-?} ({7-?})
John Juanda ({10-?})({6-?}){3-?} {5-?} {9-?} {7-?} ({4-?})

It really was one of those hands that is so emblematic of why Razz is such a maddening, reviled game.

John Juanda completed on third street and Jeff Lisandro called. Juanda led out on fourth, Lisandro called, and Juanda bet the rest of his chips, 1,700 in all on fifth. Lisandro called and they turned up their hole cards.

In the end it was a 7-6-5-4-3 for Juanda and and 7-6-5-4-2 for Lisandro to send him home as the Razz bubble boy.
