Isaac Haxton Eliminated in 8th Place ($82,668)

Isaac Haxton - 8th Place
Isaac Haxton - 8th Place
Isaac Haxton opened from middle position with a pot-raise to 210,000. Next door, chip leader Davidi Kitai stacked out reraising chips and made it a total of 425,000 to go. The table passed back around, and Haxton moved all in for a total of 520,000. Kitai quickly called the extra 95,000 to put Haxton at risk.

Showdown
Haxton: {K-Clubs} {Q-Spades}
Kitai: {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}

The board would run out blanks all the way, coming {8-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {J-Spades}. The paint card on the end was a bit of a heart-skipper for Kitai, but his ace high holds up, knocking off Isaac Haxton in 8th place. Haxton was certainly a player to watch here at this final table, but he was unable to get much going today, and he now finds himself on the outside looking in. He'll pocket more than $80,000 for his work over the past three days.

Baldwin Turns Pair To Take Pot

Eric Baldwin limped into the pot from the cut off. Jason Lester completed from the small blind and Eugene Todd checked his option.

The board came {J-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts} with all three players checking it the whole way down.

Baldwin showed {A-Clubs} {10-Clubs} for a pair of tens to take the pot.

Isaac Haxton raised to 105,000 from middle position and action folded around to J.C. Alvarado who reraised pot from the big blind. Haxton reraised enough to put Alvarado all in and he called for his last few thousand.

Alvarado: {Q-Spades} {J-Spades}
Haxton: {A-Hearts} {8-Hearts}

The board came {J-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {3-Spades} to give Alvarado the pot with two pair, doubling through Haxton.

Alvarado - 1,045,000
Haxton - 495,000

Kitai Picks One Up

Davidi Kitai limped in from the small blind, and John Kabbaj checked his option from the big.

The flop came {10-Hearts} {5-Spades} {8-Clubs}. Kitai checked, then called a bet of 50,000 from Kabbaj. The turn and river brought {A-Spades} and {7-Clubs} respectively with the two players checking it down.

Kitai showed {9-Spades} {8-Diamonds}, and it was good enough to win the pot.

Scramble, Scramble!

A new deck has been brought into play and J.C. Alvarado implores the dealer "Scramble! Scramble!" Haxton agrees, motioning the dealer to mix up the deck.

He and the other players are hoping for some better hole cards with a freshly scrambled deck. So far this level has been a little thin on action.
