Those were the words uttered by Jeff Lisandro after knocking out yet another player in today's tournament and in the 2009 WSOP. Lisandro's held against a short stack's on a board of , although we're unsure where all of the money went in.
"You don't get Player of the Year by folding," said the player in the 1-seat after Lisandro commented on his hot streak.
We mentioned Richard Grace as one of the chip leaders before dinner. That's no longer the case. Grace and Isaac Baron got all the chips in on a flop of , with Baron at risk of elimination. There were two clubs on the board, and Baron was drawing at a third club or a king with . Grace was playing a pair of aces, . A king hit the turn to make Baron's gutterball straight and to leave Grace drawing dead.
Scott Montgomery opened the pot to 1,500 from middle position. Beth Shak then moved her remaining 8,775 chips into the middle. The rest of the table folded and Montgomery reluctantly made the call.
Shak showed and was slightly ahead of Montgomery's .
The board ran out to double Shak to a little more than 18,000.
It seems like every time we turn around, someone is being dealt pocket aces. It was Jason Somerville's turn. He opened preflop for 1,550 and found one caller before the button player moved all in. Somerville reraised all in himself to ensure that he was heads up with the button, who showed down . The button paired queens on the flop but didn't improve from there.
Somerville took down the pot to increase his count to 30,000.
Eric Froehlich has been eliminated by Andy Black. The action was all preflop, with Froehlich committing his stack holding . Black tabled , and like Sorel Mizzi before him, Froehlich couldn't improve enough on a board of . He has hit the rail.
It's a tale of two short stacks. Sorel Mizzi raised all in for 4,200 after the small blind opened with a raise. The small blind called with , leaving Mizzi's in trouble. The board ran out , not enough help to Mizzi. He's out.
At the other end of the room, Marc Convey got his stack in the middle and was called. Convey's opponent showed pocket nines, but Convey had the nuts -- pocket aces. Pocket aces held to double Convey to about 15,000.

The flip didn't go the way Eric Froehlich hoped it would go. Froehlich limped in preflop, then called the 6,425 shove of a player behind him. Froehlich's was racing the all-in player's pocket fours, which held up on a queen-high board.
