Jean-Robert Bellande Eliminated

Adios, Bobby
Adios, Bobby
On a flop of {10-Spades} {8-Clubs} {5-Spades}, the big blind led out for 25,000, and with the ESPN cameras swarming Jean-Robert Bellande, he confidnetly announced a raise. Bellande made it 65,000 to go and his opponent immediately moved all in. Bellande made the call.

The big blind turned up {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts} while Bellande was on a draw with {A-Spades} {K-Spades}. The turn was the {3-Hearts}, the river was the {4-Clubs} and Bellande was eliminated, giving a wave to the camera lens as he departed.

Shulman Gets Happy

Action folded to the small blind who limped into the pot before Jeff Shulman raised to 7,000 from the big blind. The small blind immediately reraised all in to 33,200 and Shulman thought for about 10 seconds before making the call.

Small Blind: {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Shulman: {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

The flop of {4-Spades}{J-Clubs}{8-Hearts} paired Shulman, but the {7-Spades} on the turn was of no help. The {A-Spades} on the river was a different story though, giving Shulman two pair and the pot while sending his opponent to the rail. Shulman is now near the 300,000 mark.

Wong Can Do No Wrong

Cynthia May was all in for her last 15,000 before the flop with {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs}. Big stack Jerry Wong put her to the test with {2-Diamonds} {2-Spades}, and he would continue to run well in flips. The board ran {Q-Spades} {8-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {8-Diamonds}, holding Wong's underpair. Despite the promising flop and turn, May could not improve and her day is done.

Wong, on the other hand, is nowhere near out. He's right up near the top of the board with 553,000.

Sexton to 300k

With a raise to 5,200 before him, Mike Sexton made the call from the small blind, as did the big blind.

The flop of {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} was checked round to see the {8-Spades} fall on the turn and a bet of 10,000 followed from Sexton.

The big blind made the call as the original raiser dropped out. The {K-Diamonds} landed on the river.

Sexton fired once again; this time for 20,000, and after a few moments of deliberation his opponent made the call.

Sexton tabled his {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} for a flush to prompt a fold from his opponent. Sexton climbed to 305,000 in chips after the hand.

Nice Break for Bilzerian

There was a big hand to report that took place which extended well into the break, involving Brandon Garrity and Adam Bilzerian.

With the board showing {5-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades}, Garrity and Bilzerian had exchanged bets to the point that Garrity had all of his 177,000 in the middle and Bilzerian -- who had Garrity covered -- was left contemplating a big call.

Finally, after several minutes and all of the other tables had long emptied of players, Bilzerian did make the call, turning over {2-Spades}{2-Clubs} for deuces full of fives. Garrity had but {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, and thus won't be returning from the break.

Bilzerian now has 505,000.

Dan in Action

After a button raise to 4,000 and a fold by the small blind, "Action" Dan Harrington, looking down from under the brim of his familiar green Boston cap, checked his cards and made the call.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{9-Spades}. Harrington slowly patted the felt, and his opponent did the same. The turn was the {3-Clubs}. Again Harrington checked, and this time his opponent bet 6,000. Harrington tossed his cards away.

As we near the end of Level 11, Harrington has slipped back to 185,000 after having built up close to a quarter million earlier on, though he still is above the average which is about 135,000 at the moment.
