Boyd Doubles

Craig Boyd raised to 25,000 to open the pot, and Rifat Palevic moved all in for 143,000. Boyd called with {A-Spades} {10-Diamonds}, poised to eliminate Palevic and his {A-Hearts} {9-Hearts}.

Palevic, however, would flop lucky as the dealer spread out {9-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {A-Clubs}. The {6-Hearts} on the turn and the river {4-Hearts} improved him to the ace-high flush, notching a double up to 305,000. Boyd is under a million now, sitting with 960,000.

Recent Eliminations

Todd Hunter was eliminated after running his pocket jacks into the pocket aces of Wesley Ismay. Ismay is now up to 1,500,000.

Michael Castaldo also hit the rail when his {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} failed to improve against the pocket nines of Charles Wood.

Mol Mullered

Dreadfulness upon dreadfulness for Sven Mol, as he reraised all in with {A-Hearts} {J-Clubs} and and was called by Ryan Gafford holding {A-Spades} {10-Spades}. All good...

Board: {9-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {6-Diamonds}

Not so good. Mol is out, while Gafford moves up to 885,000.

Kara Scott Eliminated

Kara Scott
After having her aces cracked just a few hands ago, Kara Scott came all in over the top of a raise from Paul Baron in the cut off. Baron called the 70,000 push from the short-stacked Scott.

Baron: {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}
Scott: {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Hearts} giving Baron trip fives and the pot to eliminate Kara Scott.

* Kara is the only woman who cashed in both the ’08 and ’09 WSOP Main Event

Perry Doubles

Ed Perry was all in from middle position for 50,000. Adam Croffut called from the big blind. Perry held {A-Hearts} {5-Hearts} and Croffut held {10-Clubs} {7-Clubs}.

The board ran out {A-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {5-Clubs} {K-Spades} and Perry doubled to 115,000. Croffut is down to 1.12 million.

Sebok Wins Another

Just moments after doubling up, Joe Sebok was back in action.

There was about 70,000 in the middle with the flop of {Q-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} {6-Clubs}. Sebok checked and Ashley Cheung bet 183,000 all in. Sebok tanked for a few minutes and then made the call holding {J-Spades} {J-Hearts}. Cheung held {10-Clubs} {10-Spades}.

The turn was the {7-Clubs} and the river the {Q-Clubs} to give Sebok another big pot and move him up to 775,000. Cheung was eliminated on the hand.

Lauria Moving Up

Not Kara Scott
Not Kara Scott
Bob Lauria was all in before the flop for about 170,000. He held {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs} and he ran smack into the {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} of Kara Scott.

Not to worry, Mr. Lauria. The board ran down {Q-Clubs} {10-Spades} {9-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {J-Clubs}, giving him the winning ace-high flush. He's doubled his way up to 350,000 now, leaving Scott with just 90,000.
