Begleiter Lighter After Hand with Haabak

Jesse Haabak opened with a raise to 225,000 from early position, and it folded around to Tommy Vedes who called from the small blind. Steven Begleiter decided to come along as well from the big blind.

The flop came {J-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Vedes checked, and Begleiter bet 600,000. Haabak thought for a while, giving Begleiter a look, then made the call. Vedes folded.

Both players subsequently checked the {9-Diamonds} turn and {6-Spades} river. Begleiter showed {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for eights, but Haabak had the better pair with {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}.

Haabak moves just past 4 million on that one, while Begleiter has 7.575 million.
