Hand #81: Five Bets Pre

David Randall has the button in Seat 8.

Randall opens to 150,000 with the button, Simon Watt re-raises to 405,000 from the small blind and Tom Dwan folds from the big blind. Randall tanks for a very long time before four-betting to 900,000 and Watt puts in a fifth bet moving all in.

Randall snap-mucks and Watt takes down a huge pot preflop taking him to 3,700,000 chips.

Hand #80: Keeping it Friendly

Tom Dwan has the button in Seat 4.

He folds, and the blinds take a cheap flop heads up.

It comes {K-Spades} {8-Clubs} {4-Hearts}, and the action check-checks. It repeats on the {10-Hearts} turn, and again on the {10-Clubs} river. David Randall shows {A-Spades} {6-Diamonds} to take the blinds and antes with ace high.

Hand #78: Dwan Gets Value

Tom Dwan
Tom Dwan

David Randall has the button in Seat 8.

He makes it 150,000 to skate, and Tom Dwan calls from the big blind after shooting a bit of a sideways look at his neighbor.

The flop comes {8-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}, and Dwan taps the table once. Randall cuts out 225,000 and puts them out in front of the invisible betting line, and he has to endure a long, unblinking stare from Dwan. "Durrrr" finally glances down at his chips and elects to make the call.

Turn: {Q-Diamonds}

That draws another Dwan check and Randall checks behind this time.

The river comes the {A-Spades}, and Dwan slowly stacks out betting chips. He takes several long minutes to settle on 385,000. After another minute or so, Randall makes the call.

Dwan shows up {Q-Spades} {10-Spades}, and that's good. Randall's cards go into the muck, Jon Aguiar yells, "Oh my goodness!" from the bleachers, and Dwan stacks the pot.

He's up to 2.43 million.

Hand #76: Dwan Not Sitting Still

Simon Watt has the button in Seat 9.

He raises to 150,000, and Tom Dwan moves all in from the small blind for the second time in four hands (and it looked like he wanted to during the last hand too). His opponents folded, and Dwan has picked up another couple hundred thousand chips.

Hand #75: Randall Again

David Randall has the button in Seat 8.

Randall opens to 165,000, Simon Watt folds his small blind and Tom Dwan defends from the big blind.

Both players check the {J-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, and Dwan checks again after the {J-Diamonds} turns. Randall bets 225,000 and Dwan releases.

Hand #73: Doubling Dwan

Simon Watt has the button in Seat 9.

He folds, and Tom Dwan moves all in for 780,000 from the small blind. In the big, David Randall quickly makes the call to put Dwan at risk for possibly the first time in this entire tournament.

Showdown
Dwan: {7-Clubs} {9-Diamonds}
Randall: {A-Clubs} {10-Spades}

The tension builds as the entire arena is on their feet to sweat this board.

Flop: {7-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {2-Spades}, followed quickly by a nervous but rowdy cheer sweeping through the featured table area as Dwan pulls into the lead.

Turn: {7-Spades}!

An enormous rumble of applause and shouting fills the entire room from end to end, and dozens of players from the other events come sprinting to our corner of the room to see what the commotion is all about.

Dwan locks up the double when the {4-Diamonds} hits the river, and he's back in this thing with more than 1.5 million chips.
