Binger Clips Seidel

Erik Seidel battling away at his table
Erik Seidel battling away at his table

Erik Seidel opened to 2,100 from the cutoff only to be three-bet by Nick Binger from the big blind to 7,000.

Seidel made the call as both players drew one card, with both Binger and Seidel checking.

"Ace!" stated Binger as he tabled his {A-}{9-}{8-}{5-}{3-}.

"Yep" added Seidel as he looked at his hand once more before mucking to slip to 35,000 as Binger chips up to over 67,000.

Hang Doubles

Craig Hartman opened to 1,900 and was called by Tommy Hang and Lyle Berman from the blinds.

Hang drew one while the two drew two cards as Hang moved all in for his last 6,750. Berman folded but Hartman made the call only to muck at the sight of Hang's {9-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{2-} as he climbs to over 19,000 in chips.

Don't Mess with Bjorin's Hockey

"Hallo! Hallo!" Chris Bjorin shouted at a spectator messing with the television near his table. "Some of us are watching that!" He's been fixated on the Philadelphia/Chicago game since it began and was worried that the guy was trying to change the channel. The man laughed, pointing to his shirt. He's wearing a Blackhawks jersey and clearly had no intention of turning away from hockey. He and Bjorin had a good chat about the game, at least until someone at the table reminded Chris he had to check his cards.

Not Seiver's Day

Scott Seiver started the day as one of the chip leaders. At his high point, he was up to 86,000. Yet in under an hour, he's down to 21,000. On the last hand, he doubled up Ari Dinov. Both stood pat, and Dinov showed {8-}{7-}{6-}{3-}{2-}. Seiver said he mucked a nine-seven-six. "How do I get notched every single hand?" he lamented. "This is unreal. It's insane." He looked down at his chips. "They're all gone!"

Dinov is up to 36,000.
