The Levy Is Dry

Three players, including Adam Levy and Brian Rast, saw a flop of {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Rast and Levy checked, the third player bet 2,725, Rast called, then Levy pushed all in for 16,000. The original bettor called, and Rast got out.

Levy showed {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a straight draw while his opponent tabled {Q-Spades}{J-Spades} for top two. The turn was the {2-Clubs} and the river the {10-Spades}, and Levy hits the rail just as we go to break.

Boeken Takes One From Ivey

Phil Ivey is down to just 7,000 in chips after a recent pot when the way of Noah Boeken.

Catching the action on a flop of {K-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, both players checked and a repeat {K-Clubs} hit the turn. Ivey checked, Boeken bet 1,800 and Ivey made the call.

The river was yet another king, this time the {K-Diamonds}. Again Ivey checked, and then called the bet of 3,000 from Boeken. However Ivey's cards hit the muck when Boeken showed down {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}.

Maridu No More

Maridu Mayrinck's final chips have been sent into the middle of the table but never returned.

She was a little unlucky as her {A-Hearts}{8-Spades} was in good shape against her opponent's {A-Spades}{7-Hearts} but the board went against her as it was spread {J-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades} to pair up her opponent's kicker.

"Three-Bet? I Don't Think So"

We just witnessed three consecutive hands at Table Shaun Deeb/Dan Kelly.

- The first hand, Dan Kelly three-bet preflop, and he won it right there.

- The second hand, Dan Kelly three-bet preflop, and he won it right there again.

- The third hand, Dan Kelly four-bet preflop, and he won it right there yet again.

Shaun Deeb knows a thing or two about preflop aggression, and he couldn't help himself. "You're the best, DJK. Three-bet, three-bet, four-bet. Have you ever done that, Matt?"

Across the table, Matt Brady was caught off guard by the question. "Three-bet? I don't think so..."

Wasicka Out

Paul Wasicka opened with a raise from late position to 1,800, and the table folded around to the big blind who reraised to 4,650. Wasicka made the call.

The flop came {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, and the big blind pushed out a bet of 6,225. Wasicka went into the tank, then announced he was all in for about 18,000. His opponent called, showing {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}. Wasicka tabled {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}.

The turn was the {J-Clubs} and the river the {Q-Hearts}, and Wasicka is out.

Deeb Partying Like it's 99K

Kathy Liebert
Kathy Liebert

We joined the action on a {K-Spades} {10-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} flop, heads up between Kathy Liebert and Shaun Deeb. Liebert was the first into the pot with a bet of 5,000. Deeb clicked it back to 10,000, and Liebert moved all in for just a few thousand additional chips. Deeb called, and it was showdown time:

Liebert: {A-Clubs} {10-Clubs}
Deeb: {K-Hearts} {J-Hearts}

The {K-Spades} on the turn gave Deeb the unbeatable trip kings, and Liebert was drawing dead to the {4-Spades} river. She has been eliminated, and Deeb is now very near the top of the board with 99,000.

Top Set For Shannon Elizabeth

Shannon Elizabeth
Shannon Elizabeth

It wasn't long ago that we were reporting that Shannon Elizabeth was on the short stack. Well, look at her now, she's flying with 38,000, largely thanks to a recent pot where she virtually doubled up.

It was a battle of the blinds and we caught it on a {Q-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop. Elizabeth fired 6,000 into the healthy pot and her opponent tanked for a long time before calling. The turn was a {6-Spades} to put three spades on board which slowed Elizabeth to check it over to her opponent who fired the same amount, 6,000. Elizabeth quickly called, leaving herself just a few thousand in change behind.

The river was the {J-Hearts} and Elizabeth checked again. Her opponent eyed her stack before reluctantly checking behind. Elizabeth showed {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for top set which was good as he opponent mucked.

It's Good To Be Chino

Chino Rheem is destroying souls at the moment. Equipped with chips and confidence, Rheem is raising a lot of pots and gambling against the short stacks.

We just saw Rheem call the all-in bet of a short stack with Rheem's {J-Spades}{9-Hearts} up against his opponent's {A-Hearts}{8-Spades}.

Of course, it's an easy game when you're Chino Rheem as the board ran out {2-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{10-Clubs} to give him a backdoor straight. Rheem has 70,000 and looking strong.

Weekes Again!

Shawn Keller and James Weekes just tangled in a big pot that left Keller out of chips and Weekes as the chip leader in the tournament.

Keller got his chips all in with {10-Spades} {J-Clubs} on a turned board showing {10-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {A-Spades}, and trips are pretty good. But they're not as good as a full house; Weekes turned up {A-Spades} {10-Diamonds} for the unbeatable tens full. The meaningless {7-Spades} rivered.

With two pots in one orbit, Weekes has gone from average in chips to the top dog in the room; he's all the way up to 110,000 after collecting the rest of Keller's chips.

No Easy Money On This Table

We wandered past Table 14 to see Tom Dwan check-raise all in over the top of a 2,800-chip bet by David Williams on a {A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} board. Dwan had 17,000 in total but Williams gave it up.

Williams has recently joined this table to complete a formidable lineup that includes Amnon Filippi, John Dolan, Jeff Madsen, Nam Le, Jesse Chinni and of course "durrrr" himself! Eeek!
