Doyle Brunson opened for a raise, Eric Cloutier reraised all in, and Texas Dolly called with his remaining chips. Brunson discarded one, while Cloutier stuck with his original five.
Cloutier held -X-X, while Brunson had and hopes for a cooperative fifth card. He turned it over -- another , giving him the unwanted pair.
Brunson is out, and Cloutier moves up to 155,000.
Two more eliminations to report. Greg Raymer is out, done in by David Baker, who receives a signed fossil for having done so.
Eli Elezra has also been eliminated, bringing our total number of players down to 35.
Joe Cassidy opened for 4,000 from the cutoff, then Jason Mercier pushed all in for 30,200 from the button. Nick Schulman then reraised all in from the small blind, and Cassidy tanked for a good while before stepping aside.
Schulman drew one while Mercier stood pat. Mercier had , while Schulman showed ... and a . Mercier is out, while Schulman is up to 66,000.
David Baker opened to 4,500 and George Danzer three-bet to 16,500.
Baker made the call and drew one as Danzer stood pat.
Baker fired out 24,000 and Danzer made the call, only to muck at the sight of Baker's .
Danzer slips to 185,000 as Baker climbs to 181,000 in chips.
With 39 players remaining, a glance at the top of the leaderboard:
George Danzer -- 207,000
Vincent Musso -- 155,000
Eric Kesselman -- 146,000
Peter Gould -- 138,000
David Baker -- 112,000
Daniel Negreanu raised to 6,000 from under the gun, and the table folded around to Swiss pro Anton Allemann who reraised to 19,000 from the big blind. Negreanu called.
Allemann stood pat, while Negreanu discarded one. Allemann then announced he was all in, sending Negreanu deep into the tank. He had a little over 30,000 left with which to play, and Allemann had him well covered. Finally Negreanu made the call.
Allemann turned over his bluff -- -X -- while Negreanu tabled . Negreanu doubles back to 107,000, almost even with Allemann who slides to 110,000.
After a series of raises preflop with around 30,000 in the pot, Jason Mercier moved all in for just over 60,000 from the big blind to put Joe Cassidy to a decision for his last 33,800.
After several minutes deliberating, Cassidy made the call drawing one to his as Mercier also drew one to his .
Mercier found the as Cassidy began squeezing out his card like he belonged in the Baccarat rooms in Macau!
"It has spots" he stated (meaning that it wasn't an ace, two, three or paint).
Cassidy began to slowly squeeze along the longer edge of the card to reveal three dots.
"I'm a two-to-one dog" he added (referring to the fact he was sweating a six, seven or eight and could now only hit a seven to stay alive)
Cassidy continued to squeeze it out - this time from the corner - and revealed a middle dot meaning that he was now even money to stay alive as it was definitely a seven or an eight.
As John Juanda, Eli Elezra and Tom Dwan watched closely at Cassidy's mastery squeezing ability, he continued to roll it up to finally reveal the to keep him alive in the tournament with 95,000 as Mercier slips to just 30,000 in chips.
Peter Gould opened for 6,000 from middle position, then Michael Binger shoved all in for 14,000 total from the cutoff. The others folded, and Gould called.
Gould took one card, and Binger stood pat. Binger tabled . Gould showed his hand -- were the ones he'd kept, and the card he'd drawn. Binger is out, and Gould is up to 138,000.
