Berman Doubles Back through Seiver

Pot-Limit Omaha:

Scott Seiver didn't hold onto Lyle Berman's chips for very long. On a raised three-way flop of {6-Clubs} {2-Spades} {2-Diamonds}, Seiver, the pre-flop aggressor, opened for 8,500. Berman raised to 33,500, folding the third player. Seiver tanked before shoving, a raise back to Berman of anouther 15,000. Berman made the callwith {q-Clubs} {q-Hearts} {j-Clubs} {2-Hearts}, trip deuces. Seiver showed {a-Diamonds} {k-Spades} {k-Clubs} {8-Diamonds}. The board bricked out to secure the double-up for Berman.

Raymer's Chips Being Gobbled Up By Others

Pot-Limit Omaha:

Greg Raymer is down to just 30,000 chips after committing a quarter of his stack pre-flop in PLO against Brian Hastings. Raymer opened the button to 3,000, then called Hastings' reraise to 10,400 out of the small blind. Hastings bet about half of Raymer's stack, 13,000 total, on a flop of {j-Clubs} {7-Spades} {7-Clubs}. Raymer gave th matter scant thought before folding his hand.

Freddy Folds to Barry's Shove

Barry Greenstein
Barry Greenstein

Pot-Limit Omaha:

With 12,000 in the middle on a {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop, Freddy Deeb checked from the cutoff, and Barry Greenstiein bet 6,000. Deeb check-raised to 18,000 and Greenstein picked up a stack of 25,000 chips and pushed them toward the pot, setting Deeb in for his last 48,000.

"My kicker is bad," Deeb said.

"What pair do you have?" Greenstein asked.

"Sevens," Deeb replied.

After a bit more hemming and hawing, Deeb folded {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} face-up, conceding the pot to Greenstein.

"Now would be a good time to show the bluff," George Ting said.

"I wouldn't bluff Freddy because he calls too much," Greenstein replied.

Crazy Marco Drives Matusow Batty

Stud:

Johnson: (X) (X) / {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} / (X)
Matusow: (X) (X) / {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} / (X)

It's tough not to know when Mike Matusow is involved in a big pot. He caught our attention on sixth street when Marco "Crazy Marco" Johnson bet and then called a raise from Matusow. On the river, Johnson checked, and Matusow fired a bet. Then Johnson check-raised, prompting a mini-explosion from the Mouth. Matusow made the call unhappily, and Johnson revealed {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{5-Spades} for rolled up jacks that filled up on the river. Matusow mucked with his trademark, um, cheerfulness. He slipped to 80k while Marco built to 110k.

Mizrachi Buries Fossilman Deeper

Stud 8/b:

Raymer: (X) (X) / {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Hearts} / (X)
Hastings: (X) (X) / {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{k-Hearts} / (X)
Mizrachi: (X) (X) / {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} / (X)

Greg Raymer completed on third street, and Brian Hastings and Robert Mizrachi both called. Mizrachi led fourth, and both players called. On fifth, Fossilman checked his pair of eights, and Hastings bet. Mizrachi raised, and Raymer and Hastings both called. Raymer and Hastings both checked on sixth, then called a bet from Mizrachi. After the river, Raymer and Hastings checked again. Mizrachi bet, and Raymer called while Hastings folded. Mizrachi showed {a-Clubs}{4-Spades} for aces up, and Raymer mucked his hand.

Here's how the counts stood after this one.

Raymer: 52,000
Hastings: 160,000
Mizrachi: 190,000
