Bear Gets Scooped

Omaha 8/b:

Joe Monroe raised from middle position, Barry Greenstein called on the button, and David Singer came along in the big blind. After the {7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop full of delicious low-draw goodness, Singer checked, and Monroe bet. Greenstein stuck in a raise, and Singer folded while Monroe called. The turn brought the {9-Clubs}, and both players checked. Monroe when back to betting after the {8-Hearts} on the river, and Greenstein called, only to muck when he saw Monroe's {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for nines and eights and an 8-7 low. Monroe moved up to 220,000, getting closer to Greenstein's 224,000.
