Final Preparations

The audience is packed, the final table players have unbagged their chips, photographers are circling the table and the ESPN television crew is undergoing their final preparations. We're waiting on one more final table player to finish up his pre-game interviews before getting underway. We'll set the line at 20 minutes more before "Shuffle up and deal."

One more little piece of business. Although this has been an 8-Game tournament for the last four days, the final table will be all No-Limit Hold'em. This was the case in the first year the $50K Players' Championship was added to the WSOP in 2006, but was switched back to H.O.R.S.E. in 2007. Now that the $50K is back on TV, the final table format is back to the more viewer-friendly NLHE.
