We caught up with the action on fifth street, with Marco Traniello betting and James Kadlec calling. Traniello bet sixth street too and once again Kadlec made the call, before both players checked on seventh.
Traniello revealed a pair of queens and moved up to 15,000 (he'd taken a few hits before this hand). Kadlec, who started the day on over 40,000, mucked. Nevertheless he remains one of our big stacks - a few early pots meant that even after this encounter with Traniello, he was still on a very healthy 41,000.
Tom "durrrr" Dwan has taken down another pot as we caught the action with Dwan leading the betting on fifth, sixth and seventh streets. His opponent, Michael Rocco, was doing the calling but eventually found a fold on the river.
Vorakboth Eam completed with the and then called the all in of Richard Talerico on fourth street. Here's how the boards ran out:

Incredibly Eam tabled ace-high which was enough has Talerico just couldn't find a pair to save himself and was sent to the rail. Eam now sits with 14,000 chips.

David Shapiro: (X) /
Alex Kravchenko completed and then bet every street until he was all in on sixth street. James Maguire called as far as fifth street when folded; David Shapiro went the whole way, only to discover that his pair of nines was no good against the Russian Team PokerStars Pro's jacks.
Kravchenko more than doubled to 8,000. Shapiro was still looking pretty good after the hand, on 21,000.
Jean Gaspard completed on third street only for Sorel Mizzi to raise. Gaspard made the call, and then bet out down fourth, fifth and sixth streets. On seventh street it was Mizzi who did the betting and Gaspard called, only to discover that Mizzi's two pair, queens and sevens, beat his own lone pair of aces.
Mizzi moved up to 23,000, while Gaspard dropped to 25,800.
Tom Dwan wasted no time in getting his last few chips in, and when the cards were revealed it transpired that he had runner-runnered a flush on sixth and seventh streets, which his opponent John Langlois couldn't beat. Dwan doubled to 8,500.
Just a few minutes later and we strolled by his table to discover that Dwan had further increased his stack to 15,000. This constitutes an impressive comeback, and Dwan is out of the danger zone for now.
PokerStars Team Russia Pro, Alex Kravchenko has taken a hit after check-calling on fifth, sixth and tank-calling on seventh against David Shapiro. The boards were revealed as:

Shapriro tabled a straight as Kravchenko tossed his cards into the muck. Shapiro is up to 31,000 with Kravchenko down to 10,000.
We had a good few multitablers in the field yesterday - of those who were attempting to play two events at once, British online sicko Richard "Chufty" Ashby was the most successful, making Day 2 of this with 11,500 in chips (although he busted out of the other event he was playing).
Today a new multitabler has emerged - Esther Rossi is attempting to play both this event and the Ladies' Event over in the Pavilion Room. We'll let you know how she gets on...

Friedman with his little friend, yesterday
Perry Friedman will be going no further in this event. We're not sure exactly when the last of his chips went in, but go in they did.
"Straight," he announced as he flipped his cards on seventh street, revealing a straight, seven to jack.
"Full house," announced John Womack, flipping aces full.
"Touche," said Friedman, and stood up to leave.
Although Friedman won't be going any further in this, it could be a very different story for his monkey hat - upon busting, he signed it and left it with Mr. Womack. We could yet see a lot more of the monkey hat as this tournament progresses.
