Edgar de la Torre Eliminated in 13th Place ($23,384)

In a limped pot the two blinds saw a cheap flop of {9-Clubs}{10-Spades}{A-Hearts}. John Tolbert checked it over to Edgar de la Torre who checked behind.

The turn was the {7-Clubs} and Tolbert took a stab with a bet of 75,000. De la Torre then moved all in over the top for a total of 428,000. Tolbert looked like he was going to fold it on several occasions before he suddenly declared, "I call!"

De la Torre: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}
Tolbert: {Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

De la Torre held a craftily-played set of aces but Tolbert tabled a flush and straight draw. The rail held their breath as the river was revealed as the {8-Spades}.

De la Torre jumped in the air in celebration, thinking he had won the hand, but he didn't realise that Tolbert had made a straight. Tolbert collected the pot as de la Torre was eliminated from the tournament in 13th place for $23,384.
