Dwan Chops to Survive

Tom Dwan
Tom Dwan

Tom Dwan was down to just 300 when he was dealt an {8-Hearts} face-up, but with so much preflop action before him, he decided there we enough value to make the call.

Tom Dwan: {7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}/{8-Hearts}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}
Dale Phillips: {3-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{X}/{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Paul Sherr: {4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}/{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
James Richburg: {folded sixth}/{A-Spades}{4-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

On third street, preflop raiser Phillips continued his aggressive nature, leading out for a single bet. Both players called. He then bet all three subsequent streets, which again were called, Sherr finding himself all in on sixth.

In the end, Phillips took the high (I missed one card, but I sense he either had a house or flush), whilst Dwan snuck in for the low with A-2-5-6-7.
