El-Cooler for Noda

Sam El-Sayed opened to 1,900 from under the gun and Michael Noda re-raised to 6,000 in the cutoff. Action folded back to El-Sayed who four-bet to 19,000. Noda shoved for almost 70,000 and El-Sayed snapped it off.

Showdown
El-Sayed: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Noda: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The board ran {3-Spades}{q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Noda hit the rail.

El-Sayed has almost a third of the chips at Table 363 with over 140,000 to his name.

Hello de Melo

Fatima Moreira de Melo
Fatima Moreira de Melo

Team PokerStars Sports Star Fatima Moreira de Melo is best known as one of Holland's best field hockey players. She can also play some poker, having won her table yesterday. Today she finds herself sitting to the left of Annette Obrestad over at Table 373.

Just now came a hand in which de Melo opened with a raise to 1,500 from under the gun and got two callers (UTG+1 and the cutoff). It then folded to Obrestad who reraised to 7,200 from the big blind. That sent de Melo into the tank for about a minute, after which she declared she was all in. The others quickly folded, and Obrestad, too, released her hand.

That one pushes de Melo up to 55,000, still behind Obrestad who has about 65,000. The table leader at present is Matthew Jensen with 75,000.

Beasley Busts

Mike Beasley is out of Event #39, and he was kind enough to recap his last hand for us.

According to Beasley, he opened the pot preflop and was called by Annette Obrestad and Peter Nguyen. The dealer flopped {7-}{8-}{9-} and Nguyen and Obrestad checked to Beasley who continued for 4,300. Obrestad folded and Nguyen called.

The turn was the {j-Hearts} bringing a second heart to the board. Nguyen led for 11,000 and Beasley called.

A {6-} rivered and Nguyen moved all in having Beasley covered. Beasley called with {j-}{j-}, but top set was no good. Nguyen opened {q-}{10-} for a straight and Beasley hit the rail.

Shouting at the Shootout

Terrence Chan has been eliminated from Table 363.

Jesse Martin is also out over there, and following his elimination we saw a confrontation arise between Martin and Sam El-Sayed. It became quite heated, with words getting louder and a chair toppling over. Finally, once tourney staff arrived, the situation was calmed down. To put it in poker terms, the pair had gotten up to one player putting in a five-bet before the other finally let it go.

El-Sayed is now sitting out a round to cool off.

Mizrachi, Utnage Out
