Like a lead zeppelin, Mr. Howard Lederer has sunk. So have these other folks.

Vladimir Schemelev: /
Chance Kornuth: /
Vladimir Schemelev has been running really well this Series - heads up in the $50,000 eight game, and two $10,000 event final tables. And now he seems to be set for a deep run in this, too.
Just now we witnessed him raise to Chance Kornuth's completion on third street, and then flat-call bets down fourth, fifth and sixth streets. On seventh street Kornuth checked and then called a bet from Schemelev, but Schemelev turned over a six low and Kornuth's eight low couldn't beat it.
Schemelev is at 34,000.
Alexandra Vuong found herself all in against both Lonnie Heimowitz and Bryan Micon for her last 3,000.
Heimowitz fired out on fourth and fifth as Micon folded on fifth street with both Vuong's and Heimowitz' boards running out as follows.

Vuong was unable to best Heimowitz' eight-seven and consequently made her way to the rail.

Richard Evans: (XX /
Marc Hodge: (XX) /
Richard Evans completed and Marc Hodge made the call; both players checked on fourth street.
Come fifth street Hodge told his opponent, "I'm starting to like it now." He bet out. Evans called. "Saucy," said Hodge. Indeed.
Hodge bet out again on sixth street, and this time Evans gave it up, showing a second ace down that had paired. Hodge moved up to 25,000.
After Mike Leah brought in, Michael Kaufman completed to 800 and both Yevgeniy Timoshenko and Mickey Doft made the call.
Kaufman fired on fourth street with both Timoshenko and Doft calling before Doft took the lead on fifth and sixth with Kaufman calling him down and Timoshenko folding on fifth.
Kaufman: (X)(X) / / (X)
Timoshenko: (X)(X) / (folded on fifth)
Doft: (X)(X) / / (X)
When seventh street landed Doft fired for 1,600 once again as Kaufman chose this street to fold and see Doft rake in the pot and climb to 17,000 in chips.
Young British pro Stuart Rutter, who recently finaled the $5,000 shootout, called us over to examine the yellow slip from his chip bag. Somehow, his home town of Birmingham has, in Americanese, become "Budget Town, UK". Having visited Birmingham, this blogger can confirm that actually they're not that far off with that description, but still, it seems a little unfair.
Rutter doesn't particularly mind though. Apparently Nicolas Levi, who also finaled the shootout, had his home town listed as the somewhat improbable "Paris, UK".

Jennifer Tilly has succumbed, after her 7-5-A-Q-K low was bested by the awesomely monikered Cliff Ziff holding a K-9-7-6-3 low.
