Joseph Out, 18 Left

Limit

Following a flop of {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{10-Clubs}, Johanssy Joseph bet, Daniel Idema raised, Joseph reraised with his last remaining chips, and Idema called.

Johanssy showed {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for top pair, but Idema held {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}. The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and the river the {6-Diamonds}, and Johanssy is out in 19th place.

They are currently redrawing for seats for our last 18 players around the final two tables.

Lots of Bets for Kelly

Limit

Things have calmed down -- relatively speaking -- here in the limit half of Level 15. No eliminations, anyway, for the first 15 minutes. There are a lot of chips moving back and forth, however, such as in this hand involving four players.

The hand began with Tay Nguyen raising from under the gun and getting three callers -- Michael Santoro (UTG+1), Steven Kelly (SB), and Kenny Hsiung (BB). The flop came {7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Kelly bet, Hsiung raised, Nguyen three-bet, and Santoro folded. Kelly then made it four bets (24,000 total), Hsiung got out, and Nguyen called.

The turn was the {J-Spades}. Kelly made the big bet (12,000), and Nguyen called. The river brought the {Q-Hearts} and another bet from Kelly and call from Nguyen.

Kelly showed {7-Spades}{7-Clubs} for the flopped set, and Nguyen mucked. Kelly moves up to 255,000 on that one, while Nguyen is way down to 38,000.

Rosen Rises to Top, 20 Remain

Jamie Rosen
Jamie Rosen

No-Limit

Well, that was quite a half-hour of no-limit poker, with no less than seven eliminations, including some big stacks.

The seventh came in one of the last hands of the no-limit hold'em portion of Level 15. Jamie Rosen opened for 9,500 from UTG, and it folded around to Renaud Desferet in the small blind who reraised to 28,000. The big blind got out, then Rosen made it 63,000 to go. Desferet pushed all in for 115,000 total, and Rosen called.

Desferet {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Rosen {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Another race. But after the flop -- {10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} -- Rosen had left Desferet well behind. The {2-Diamonds} turn sealed it, and Desfert is out in 21st.

With 20 players left, Rosen now takes the chip lead with 440,000.

Lew Out, Finne Takes Chip Lead

No-Limit

Yet another elimination to report -- Randy Lew, this time. All in before the flop with {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}, Lew was looking to outrun Timothy Finne's {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

But the flop brought a nine -- {9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{K-Diamonds} -- and Lew was well behind. The {K-Spades} on the turn opened the door a bit, but the {10-Spades} on the river ended Lew's day in 22nd place.

Finne now has 445,000 and currently sits atop the leaderboard.

Elezra Eliminated

Eli Elezra
Eli Elezra

No-Limit

Jamie Rosen opened for 9,500 from the hijack seat, the player on the button called, then Eli Elezra raised to 29,500 from the small blind. The big blind folded, Rosen reshoved all in, the button folded, and Elezra called, putting his entire stack of 82,500 at risk.

Elezra {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Rosen {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}

Elezra was looking for a jack to survive, but the dealer didn't comply as the board came out {4-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. Elezra is out in 24th, and Rosen rises to 270,000.

Stout Out

Matt Stout
Matt Stout

No-Limit

A short-stacked Matt Stout had just doubled through Eli Elezra the hand before when he found himself all in once again with {A-}{Q-} versus Michael Santoro's {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}.

The board came {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{7-Spades}{a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}, and Stout is eliminated in 25th. Santoro climbs to 215,000.

Collopy Cut Down

No-Limit

Dwyte Pilgrim opened for 4,500 from under the gun, and Jim Collopy, sitting to his left, made it 24,000 to go. It folded back around and Pilgrim pushed it up to 48,000. Collopy responded by shoving all in, and Pilgrim -- who had Collopy covered -- made the call.

Pilgrim showed {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} and Collopy {A-Spades}{K-Spades}. The board came {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{10-Spades}{J-Spades}, and Collopy hits the rail in 26th place.

Pilgrim is now up around 300,000 chips.
