Van Wilder

When we reached Table 371, the flop had already fallen {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. Larry Wilder led for 18,500 and an opponent on the button called.

The dealer turned the {4-Hearts} and Wilder led again - this time for 28,500. His opponent again called.

The river was the {8-Diamonds} and Wilder fired a third barrel worth 33,500. His opponent at least tanked this time before calling yet again.

Wilder rolled over {a-Spades}{10-Spades} and his opponent painstakingly mucked the losing hand. Wilder has been chipping up rather nicely, and now sits with 470,000 chips.

Boyd Excels

Joe Bloggs (a.k.a. player who refused to reveal his name) moved all in from middle position for 89,500 with {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}; Dutch Boyd made the call with {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}. The board ran out {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}{J-Clubs} to put Boyd up to 500,000.

Coon Trips Odell

Facing a re-raise to 40,000 from Kevin Odell, John Coon moved all in for his last 140,000 chips. Odell quickly made the call.

Showdown
Odell: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Coon: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

The dealer wrapped the table before fanning {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}.

Boom goes the dynamite.

Odell couldn't find the case queen on the turn or the river, and Coon doubled to 280,000 chips.

"I folded an ace too," said another player at the table.

Odell lost a sizable pot, but is still healthy with 577,000 chips.

Safieddine Takes One Down

Sam Trickett raised it up preflop from early position to 20,000, only for Alex Millar to make a small reraise to 42,000 from the cut-off. Francois Safieddine called from the button, as did Trickett.

On the {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop, the action checked around to Safieddine who led for 120,000. Despite inquiring as to how much he had behind, Trickett made the fold and Miller followed suit.

Trickett - 375,000
Alex Millar - 130,000
Safieddine - 385,000

Gold Rush

With the board reading {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{5-Spades}, Keyyong Song bet 30,000 from middle position and Michael Goldfarb moved all in for 168,500 with the button. Song called and the hands were opened.

Showdown
Song: {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Goldfarb: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Goldfarb was ahead, but needed to fade the heart. The {q-Spades} on the turn took one out, the {5-Hearts}, away from Song. The turn was red, but the {10-Diamonds} did nothing for Song and he was crippled to 32,000 chips

Goldfarb doubled through and now sits with 370,000 chips.

Life of Bryan

The cut-off raised to 18,000, only for both Ayaz Mahmood (85,000) and Bryan Porter (105,000) to move all in behind. With the initial raiser stepping out of the way, we had a showdown, Mahmood coin flipping for his tournament life with {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} versus {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}.

The {J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} flop was rather decisive, as was the {Q-Hearts} turn, and by the {6-Hearts} river it was all over, Porter eliminating the recent bracelet winner to see his stack blossom into 198,000.
