Dawson's KO

Peter Dawson had a short-stacked player at risk preflop over on Table 368. The two were heads up and the hands were tabled:

Showdown
Dawson: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Mr. Shorty: {k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

The board ran {q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, and Dawson recorded the knockout.

Dawson has been chipping up all day, and now sits with 305,400.

Boost for Coronel

Aristotle Coronel is now on 310,000 after he eliminated a player with {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} versus {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}. The {7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Spades} flop changed nothing, and although Coronel punched the air in delight on the {A-Hearts} turn, the bullet actually increased his opponent's outs from three to four. In the end, it made little difference, as the river brought a {5-Clubs} river to award him the pot.

Phan Doubles Opponent

John "The Razor" Phan opened to 12,000 from middle position and an opponent in the cutoff re-raised all in for 68,000. The button and blinds released, and Phan made an uncharacteristically quick call.

Showdown
Phan: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Opponent: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Phan did not improve with the {6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} board, and he slipped to 110,000 chips.

Bichon's Read is On

Casey "bigdogpckt5s" Jarzabek moved all in for about 70,000 into a pot of over 60,000 preflop and Thomas Bichon went into the tank. He thought for so long the clock was called and eventually he folded {9-}{9-} face up.

"You wanna see?" Jarzabek asked him.

"Sure," Bichon responded.

Jarzabek complied, opening {a-}{a-}.

Bichon may have saved himself some chips, and currently sits with 230,000. Jarzabek chipped up a bit to 135,000.

Song Hits the Right Note

Andrew Song was getting somewhat short at the time, but when he looked down at {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, he decided to make his move and duly reraised an early position raise from Thiago Nishijima all in for his remaining 45,000.

Nishijima made the call and showed {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, but it wasn't enough as the board ran out {7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} to award Song the pot. He now has 108,000, whilst Nishijima drops to 235,000.

More for Teska

Roger Teska had an opponent all in and at risk at his table in the Amazon Room. It was a standard race with Teska holding {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} against his opponent's {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. The board was king high, and Teska knocked his opponent out chipping up to 357,000.
