Snow Storm!

As was to be expected, we're seeing a lot of all in preflop action this afternoon. Our latest dramatic moment came courtesy of Alan Snow and Kyle Carlston.

Snow: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Carlston: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

Both players paired their ace on the flop of {a-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts} bur Carlston still needed to find a ten or some other way to counterfeit Snow's king kicker.

He wasn't able to do so with the {6-Hearts} on the turn, nor on the {q-Spades} river.

Snow is up to 200,000, while Carlston slipped to 23,000

Air Buchman Takes Early Lunch

Ari Buchman came into the day as one of our short stacks and wasted no time trying to double up and get himself into a position to go a little deeper. Unfortunately for Buchman, Jason Riesenberg was out to make sure that didn't happen.

We didn't see just when the chips got in the middle, but we do know the cards looked something like this:

Buchman: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Riesenberg: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}

The board ran out {3-Hearts}{8-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Spades} and Buchman was sent home early.

Lower Gettin Higher

From the cutoff seat, Justin Young opened the pot with 23,000-chip raise, and Jason Lower moved all in on the button. Young called the additional 64,000 chips.

Showdown
Lower: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Young: {k-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and gave Lower a full double up, is now up to 180,000 chips.

Neary is the First Elimination of the Day

Jean Delay raised to 25,000 from under the gun with Todd Neary shoving all in from middle position. Delay made the call and we were headed to the flop.

Delay: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Neary: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Neary was ahead when things got started, but Delay found a higher pair on the flop of {5-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. The {2-Clubs} on the turn was no help to Neary, and neither was the river when it came down {q-Spades}.

With the win, Delay is up to 335,000.

Day 3 is About To Begin

We're just 30 minutes away to kickoff Day 3 of Event #47. We have 35 players left in the field, fighting for a place in the final nine and for the $485,791 for the first place finisher.

Our chip leader is Manuel Davidian, who bagged 889,000 chips last night. Not too far in chips is Adam White and Jason Riesenberg with 713,000 and 635,000.

With just 35 players left, we have a lot of familiar faces in the field, Scott Montgomery is trying to win back-to-back $1k tournaments, Justin Young is looking for a decent score in the series and Olivier Busquet is absolutely on fire.

Cards will be in the air shortly, so make sure to stick with us as we bring you all the action fit for print.
