Miami Gone

Cer-nought-o
Cer-nought-o

It looked as though "Miami" John Cernuto bet out on the {5-Spades}{6-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Alan Reyf raised all in. Either way, Cernuto was calling all in when we arrived, and they turned their cards over.

Cernuto: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}{2-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Reyf: {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

Turn: {3-Diamonds}

River: {4-Diamonds}

Reyf made a flush, and after a brief pause to count the stacks (Cernuto was covered by just 2,000), it's back to Miami for Cernuto.

Nemirovsky Gets the Best of the Master

Dmitry Nemirovsky checked an {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop to Men Nguyen, who bet 19,000. After a minute, Nemirovsky check-shoved for about 18,000 more. Nguyen wasn't happy about it, but he made the call.

Nemirovsky: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for the bottom end of the straight
Nguyen: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for bottom pair

The turn brought the {8-Diamonds} and the river the {7-Spades}. Nemirovsky doubled up to around 90,000. Nguyen threw the extra chips into the middle hard enough that they bounced. After doubling Ryan D'Angelo and then Nemirovsky in short order, the Master was down to 70,000.

Edit: They don't call him the Master for nothing. He won a huge pot before we could post this and is back over 150,000.

Boatman Buoyed Up

Following his double up around half an hour ago, Ross Boatman has gone one better and tripled up this time.

He got his last 21,800 in on a {q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop and was called by both Jason Mercier and Kevin Boudreau. The two of them checked down the {j-Diamonds} turn and {6-Spades} river - and both mucked when Boatman turned over {7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for a flush.

Boatman - up to 95,000
Mercier - down to 126,000
Boudreau - down to 150,000

Little Comes Up a Little Short Again

Jonathan Little has been grinding the short stack all afternoon. He was down to 12,000 at one point since dinner break, then up as high as 38,000. But his fight ended short of the money a few minutes ago.

Little got his last chips in preflop against two opponents. The flop fell {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, and Ali al Jenabi moved all in. Alan Reyf called, and all three turned up their cards.

Little: {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Al Jenabi: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Reyf: {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}

Little's flush draw with a pair didn't get there, but al Jenabi's aces took the lead back to win the hand. He amassed Little's stack and doubled through Reyf to jump to 170,000. Reyf was knocked back to 43,000, and Little's frustrating series continued with another long Day 2 but no cash.

Schoenberg Survives Spindler

Erica Schoenberg moved in for under 20,000 preflop, and Benny Spindler made the call to put her at risk.

Schoenberg: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Spindler: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

The {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop gave E-Scho a host of straight outs and Spindler the nut flush draw. Schoenberg got there with the {8-Diamonds} on the turn, and the {5-Diamonds} river didn't improve Spindler. She doubled to 40,000, leaving Benny with 66,000.
