"Low," Failla repeated, and the turn came the safe .

Thanks, no doubt, to his pleas, the dealer kept his sevens in front, and Will the Thrill has knocked off a player to move his way up to 33,000.
There was major confusion over on Table 6, and that usually means we get a visit from the floorman. Lee Gaines had just won an all-in against Sam Trickett, and all five cards were out on board in Gaines' favor. The dealer started to count one of the stacks, and, after some stuttering and double-checking, a few players' hands found their way into the pot, and chips were being stacked out everywhere. Ultimately, it became difficult to tell for certain whose chips were whose, and the floor was called over.
T.D. Bob handled the situation quickly, and he was able to gather a good bit of information from the two players once all the stragglers piped down. Smith determined the stack size on a previous hand, and he was able to reconstruct the pot to give Gaines the proper double-up chips. The matter was settled to everyone's satisfaction, and Trickett is the only one who comes out on the bad end, down to just 1,475 chips now.
After the dust settled, Bob offered one correction to the dealer: "Make sure you count both stacks before you do anything."
We've been watching Tony Hachem nurture and coax his short stack all day, and he's been doing his fair share of good-natured trash talking and bickering about his predicament. We just caught him as he opened a pot to 1,550 in early position, and the decision was on Jason Potter when we joined the action.
"How much you have behind?" Potter asked.
"For the first time today..." Hachem said, pausing for effect, "...over 10,000!"
With that, Potter promptly reraised to 4,225, and the table folded back to Hachem who started shaking his head. "I've run into your kickers twice today," he said, wagging a finger.
"When was the second time?" Potter asked, sliding one of his earphones off his ear. "Oh, that hand? I flopped a set. I had two nines."
"Yeah yeah, flopped a set..." Hachem was trailing off. "What do you have now?"
"I don't think I'm allowed to tell you," Potter said. After another minute, he added, "Okay, I have a Draw 4 and a Reverse."
Hachem chuckled, and he finally said, "All right, you got it," and he slid his cards into the muck. He does indeed have about 10,000 chips left, and they'll be used in some other spot.
It's been a lot of hard work for Jordan Morgan today, a lot of grinding to try to accumulate chips. He caught a bit of an easy spot when he opened for 1,500 and a player re-raised to 11,500. The player didn't have many chips behind the raise, so Morgan moved all in and was called. Morgan's pocket tens were best against his opponent's pocket nines. Nothing changed on a board of and so Morgan moved up to 34,000. His opponent moved off to a different part of the Pavilion Room.

We missed the hand that sealed his fate, but we did see Eli Elezra stand up, pay the massage therapist that had been working on him, and exit the room.
It is thusly to be inferred that Mr. Elezra is out.
In other news, John Juanda has been blinded out of the event. He's too busy tending to his stack over in Event #50, and you Juanda fans can head over there to keep tabs on his Day 2 progress.

With two-thirds of the field already eliminated, we seem to have hit a general "after dinner" slowdown, with less aggression dominating the action. We're still a long way from the end of the night, however, so we don't expect this malaise to last. The current chip leaders are all in the 80,000 to 90,000 range, except for David Singer, who has managed to be the first to crack six figures.
