Praise the Lordge

Jeremy Lordge's run good continues with another quick double-up.

This time Michael Kaufman opened with a raise to 28,000 from middle position and it folded around to Lordge in the small blind who made it 75,000. Kaufman reraised all in, and Lordge called with the rest of his stack.

Lordge {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}
Kaufman {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

The board came {A-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}, and Lordge suddenly moves up to 540,000. Kaufman slips to 135,000.

The Lordge-Orgura Battles

Jeremy Lordge opened for 36,000, then Takashi Ogura reraised to 72,000 behind. It folded back around to Lordge. Lordge only had about 110,000 behind, and so had to think about the decision.

Finally he started talking to Ogura. "If I give you five dollars, will you show?" he asked, and the table chucked. At last Lordge folded his {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} face up. "One card," said Ogura of his hand, and Lordge flipped over the {Q-Hearts}. "Ace-queen or king-queen?" asked Lordge as Ogura scooped the chips. "Ace-queen," answered Ogura with a nod.

On the very next hand, Lordge again raised -- this time to 25,000 -- and it folded to Ogura in the big blind who reraised all in. Lordge called with his remaining chips, showing {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}. Ogura tabled {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}.

The board came {3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, and Lordge doubled back to about 245,000. Ogura has 295,000 now.

One For Tollefsen

When we arrived at the table the board spread {8-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Matthew Nieberg check-raised to 140,000 a 69,000-chip bet from Henrik Tollefsen in the button.

Tollefsen moved all in and Nieberg folded. "Take your present!", said Nieberg.

Tollefsen is now up to 560,000 chips, Nieber slipped to 140,000.

Knutar Knocked Out

Raymond Stuwe opened with a raise to 22,000 from middle position, and it folded to Anton Knutar who reraised all in for 125,000 from the small blind. The big blind skedaddled, and unlike on that previous hand, Stuwe didn't take too much time before making the call. Knutar showed {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and Stuwe {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

The dealer then spread out the flop... {3-Spades}... {10-Clubs}... {7-Hearts}! Stuwe stood up in surprise, the move causing a half-filled can of Red Bull sitting on the floor beside him to turn on its side and empty its contents onto the Amazon floor. The turn was the {A-Clubs} and river the {J-Clubs}, and Knutar is out.

After gathering those chips, Stuwe chips up to 477,000.
