Warwick Cripples Stern

Louis Crispino raised to 8,700 in early position, and Steven Warwick shipped it in for 22,400. Then Matthew Stern reshoved for slightly more, 27,000 total. Crispino ran for cover, and it was time to flip 'em. Stern's {a-Spades}{k-Spades} had Warwick's {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} covered, but after the {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop, Warwick was feeling pretty safe. The {7-Spades} on the turn put him back in danger, but the {a-Clubs} on the river was not enough to best Warwick's flopped set. He doubled to 60,000, and Stern was left crippled with 5,000.
