Kranyak KOd

In early position, John Kranyak raised to 11,000 before Stephen Simm moved all in for 37,000 straight. Kranyak called, leaving just 7,000 chips in his own stack and bringing about the showdown:

Kranyak: {Q-Clubs} {Q-Spades} (pretty good)
Simm: {A-Clubs} {A-Spades} (very much better)

There was no queen and no funny stuff on a board of {3-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {4-Spades}, and Simm doubled up to about 85,000.

A few hands later, Kranyak put his few remaining chips into the pot preflop, and he was looking for a triple up against Joseph Williams and Armen Kara. Kranyak had {Q-Hearts} {4-Hearts}, and he missed everything on the {9-Spades} {J-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} {3-Hearts} board. Williams made the best hand with his {K-Spades} {J-Spades}, scooping both the main pot and a small side pot and knocking Kranyak out in the process.
