Barlow Triples Before Dinner

Level 22 : 13,000/25,000, 0 ante

Josh Arieh limped into the pot for the minimum, and Todd Barlow raised all in for 43,000. George Lind called from the button, and Arieh called the remainder to go three ways to the board.

It ran out {2-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {10-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}, and the two live players checked it all the way down. Barlow showed up {10-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {A-Spades} {5-Clubs}, and it was clearly good. That's a triple up and then some for Barlow, moving him all the way up to 167,000.

Steinberg Quarters Ashby

Level 22 : 13,000/25,000, 0 ante

Richard Ashby opened under the gun, and Jason Steinberg flatted in middle position.

The flop came {4-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {J-Spades}, and Ashby continued out with a bet. Steinberg raised, and Ashby called the extra bet to see the turn card. It was the {2-Spades}, and Ashby knocked the table. Steinberg bet, having less than a bet behind, and Ashby tanked for over a minute before putting him all in. Steinberg called.

Steinberg: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Ashby: {a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

The river was the {6-Spades}, giving Steinberg a flush, and three-quarters of the pot.

Lee Moves Up

Level 22 : 13,000/25,000, 0 ante

Guillaume Rivet opened with a raise, and he found calls from Mack Lee, Richard Ashby, and Jason Steinberg, the latter coming along out of position from the big blind.

The four men took a {A-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} flop, and action checked to Lee. He put out the bet, and only Rivet called to see another card. The turn came the {10-Hearts}, and Rivet check-called another bet. That action repeated on the {A-Spades} river, and the cards were turned up.

Lee showed {A-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {10-Diamonds} for aces full of queens, and it was good. Rivet flashed two cards, the {A-Clubs} {5-Spades}, and his inferior full house means his chip stack will fall to about 775,000. Lee climbs just above that with 780,000 thanks to that pot.

Kirill Gerasimov Eliminated in 11th Place ($33,172)

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Kirill Gerasimov - 11th place
Kirill Gerasimov - 11th place

Steve Billirakis raised to 50,000, and Kirill Gerasimov called all in for his last 18,000. Nobody else wanted to tangle, and Gerasimov was fighting heads-up for the 67,000-chip pot.

Billirakis: {A-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {10-Spades}
Gerasimov: {K-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {7-Hearts}

The {2-Hearts} {K-Hearts} {A-Clubs} flop was a good sweat for both players, and Billirakis grabbed a big lead on the {9-Hearts} turn. Gerasimov needed to pair his king or the deuce or nine to scoop the pot, but the river {6-Hearts} was a swing and a miss.

Unable to take even half, that's the end of the road for Gerasimov. He'll leave with $33,172 as a consolation prize.

Zhukov With a Massive Chip Lead

Viacheslav Zhukov and Kirill Gerasimov were heads up with the board reading {10-Spades}{4-Spades}{7-Spades}. Gerasimov check-called a bet from Zhukov, and the turn brought the {q-Diamonds}. Again, Gerasimov check-called a bet. The river was the {a-Clubs}, Gerasimov check-called one last bet, and Zhukov opened up {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for an ace-high flush.

Gerasimov mucked, and is now dangerously short-stacked.

Barlow Gets it In

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Todd Barlow raised before the flop, and George Lind three-bet him next door. Barlow called, and he check-raised all in after the {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades} {3-Diamonds} flop. Lind quickly called, and Barlow was in good shape to double.

Showdown
Barlow: {A-Clubs} {3-Spades} {2-Clubs} {9-Spades}
Lind: {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {5-Diamonds}

Barlow had flopped the boat, and he faded disaster on the {7-Spades} turn and {7-Clubs} river. That's a double up, and it moves him up to 264,000 while knocking Lind back to 290,000 in the process.

Gerasimov Doubles

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Kirill Gerasimov moved all in for 65,000 after Jason Steinberg raised from late position. Steinberg called, and the hands were opened.

Gerasimov: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Steinberg: {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{10-Spades}

The board ran {2-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}, and Gerasimov scooped the pot to double to 130,000 chips. Steinberg is still very healthy with 420,000.

Thuritz Scoops a Monster

When we reached the table, Guillaume Rivet, Mack Lee and Mikael Thuritz were three-handed with the board reading {7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and over 200,000 in the middle. The action checked to Thuritz who bet, and both Rivet and Lee called.

The river was the {j-Hearts}, and again Rivet and Lee checked to Thuritz who bet. This time only Lee called, and Thuritz opened {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for a straight. Lee angrily mucked, and Thuritz raked in a monster pot.
