Straight-over-Straight Sees Gordon Soar High

Catching the action on the turn with the board reading {6-Spades}{k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, we found Brian Rast holding {7-}{4-} for the second nut straight.

Unfortunately for Rast, his lone opponent in the hand - John Gordon - had him bested by one when he tabled his {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}.

The river blanked out with the {A-Diamonds} and Gordon doubled through to nearly 200,000 as Rast slips back to 150,000 in chips.
