Nicholas Mitchell Eliminated in 13th Place; Scott Baumstein Advances!

Level 5 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Nicholas Mitchell - 13th Place
Nicholas Mitchell - 13th Place

Nicholas Mitchell limped in from the button only to have Scott Baumstein bump it up to 12,000. Mitchell moved all in for roughly 150,000 and Baumstein instantly made the call.

Mitchell: {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Baumstein: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

The {A-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop kept Baumstein in a commanding lead, but when the {Q-Diamonds} landed on the turn, Mitchell picked up outs to a flush draw.

Unfortunately for Mitchell, the {J-Spades} would complete the board on the river and send him home in 13th place as Scott Baumstein becomes the eighth player to advance through to the final table.

Lebedev Re-Takes the Lead

Level 5 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Kyle Frey opened for 12,000 on the button and Nikita Lebedev three-bet to 32,000. Frey decided to just call.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{A-Diamonds} and Lebedev c-bet for 40,000. Frey called.

Both players checked the {K-Hearts} turn. However, when the {7-Hearts} completed the board, Lebedev thought for a while and then bet 130,000, which left him with only 39,000 behind. Frey folded.

After that hand, Lebedev is up to 335,000 while Frey has slipped to 265,000.

Baumstein Strengthens Lead

Nicholas Mitchell made it 12,000 from the button and Scott Baumstein made the call before checking the {7-Hearts}{K-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop.

Mitchell fired out a 14,000-chip continuation-bet only to have Baumstein check-raise to 31,000. Mitchell made the call before both players checked the {A-Clubs} on the turn as the {K-Diamonds} completed the board on the river.

Baumstein fired out 50,000 and Mitchell quickly mucked.

Frey's Stack Swinging

Kyle Frey opened for his usual 12,000 on the button and Nikita Lebedev re-raised to 32,000. Frey announced he was all-in and Lebedev mucked.

In the very next hand, Lebedev raised to 12,000 from the button and Frey flatted.

The flop came {3-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Lebedev c-bet 13,000 after Frey checked. Frey again called.

Both players checked the {4-Diamonds} turn, but when Frey checked again when the {Q-Diamonds} landed on the river, Lebedev fired 45,000. Frey mucked his hand.

Baumstein Takes Lead

Nicholas Mitchell and Scott Baumstein have just re-commenced their heads-up match, and nearly right out of the blocks we saw some action.

Mitchell opened the button to 12,000 only to have Baumstein three-bet to 31,000. Mitchell shoved and Baumstein made the call for his final 234,000.

Baumstein: {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Mitchell: {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} to see Baumstein double through to 470,000 as Mitchell slips to just 130,000 in chips.

Dinner Break?

Level 5 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Currently we are scheduled to go on dinner break, but with only three tables remaining, each table is doing something differently.

Nikita Lebedev (483,000) and Kyle Frey (117,000) are continuing to play without a break, while Nicholas Mitchell (324,000) and Scott Baumstein (276,000) are taking a standard 20-minute break before returning to play.

Mark Radoja (459,000) and Yasuhiro Waki (141,000) however have decided to go on the full 60-minute dinner break.
