Chen Chips Up

PLH

Action folded around to Bill Chen in the hijack who raised to 500. The player in the big blind thought for a minute before deciding to re-raise to 1,800 which Chen then called.

Both players checked after the flop of {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades} and again after the {5-Hearts} came on the turn. The river brought the {k-Diamonds} and the big blind checked a third time but Chen then put out a bet of 1,500. The big blind opted to call but mucked his hand after Chen showed his {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for a Broadway straight.

Chen's stack is now at an impressive 33,000.

Race for the Praz

PLH

Praz Bansi is back up to 15,000 after he called his opponent's all in on a {3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} board, Bansi flipped a set of {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} against {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and the board bricked on the {5-Clubs} turn and {10-Spades} river.

Junglen Climbing

Level 4

We caught the action on the turn with a pot that had already grown more than sizable. Adam Junglen had 2,800 chips in front of him on a {j-Hearts}{8-Spades}{k-Spades}{7-Clubs} board and he was facing an all in raise from a player behind him. Eventually he made the call with {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for a set of Eights and an inside straight draw. In order to win the pot he had to avoid the multiple draws of his opponent's {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} which not only bricked the opponent but gave Junglen his straight. He now has 31,500 chips.

Griffin Gone

Level 4

PLO

On a {3-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop, Gavin Griffin was facing a check-raise from 600 to 1,800. He eventually made the call and the two players saw the {6-Clubs} turn heads up. His opponent thought for a long time before leading this street for 2,100 and Griffin called. The river was the {j-Spades} and this time the opponent bet 8,000 in a more timely fashioned. The bet had Griffin's stack covered but it didn't stop him from immediately putting chips in to represent his call.

Griffin's opponent quickly tabled {q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a straight to the seven which was the nuts. Griffin could only muck and hit the rail.

Go Home Jerome

Level 3

PLH

Jerome Bradpiece opened to 375 preflop and then called a 3-bet to 1,000 before moving all in for his last 1,700 or so on a {9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} flop. He was duly called and turned over {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} but couldn't beat his opponent's {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} despite catching a gutshot on the {8-Spades} turn - mainly because the river was the {Q-Diamonds}.

What are the Odds?

Level 3

They've hardly been married a month and there's already a woman in between Erica Schoenberg and Erick Lindgren... at the table that is!

Yes, just two to Schoenberg's left is her new husband. Seated in between them is an unknown woman and Layne Flack was seated to Lindgren's left before he recently busted.

Ironically, on the table right next to them fellow Team PokerStars Pro's Joe Hachem and Barry Greenstein are seated right next to each other. Hachem is already one of the largest stacks in the room with 24,000 but his stack will be tested as Greenstein is directly to his left.
