Trips for Kelly

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

Dan Kelly opened to 400 only to have an opponent in the cutoff three-bet to 1,000. Once the blinds passed and the action returned to Kelly, he moved all in and his opponent called off his 6,500-chip stack.

Kelly: {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Opponent: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The board rolled out {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs} to see Kelly eliminate his opponent and move to roughly 21,000 in chips.

Our PokerNews field reporter wandered over to Daniel Negreanu's table to see how the Team PokerStars Pro was handling his tournament.

Hitting a high point of over 25,000, his stack had been dwindled down to roughly 2,600 as Negreanu started recounting some of his beats so far.

"I've lost like every flip this tournament. Even during the heads-up too!"

Asking about the upcoming Event #5: $1,500 Seven Card Stud tournament, Negreanu stated that he will be playing it, and probably sooner then later.

"At least you can't lose a flip for all your chips in Stud!" added Negreanu.

Aggression for Bari

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

Allen Bari opened with a raise preflop and was three-bet and then four-bet to 2,600.

Once the action returned to Bari, he slid out a five-bet to 5,475 to force both opponents to fold while he moved to roughly 35,000 in chips.

Akkari Over 30k

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

On a board of {9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{k-Spades} we found Andre Akkari check-raising all in over an opponent's 2,200-chip bet.

Akkari's opponent made the call tabling his {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}, but it would be Akkari's {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts} that would see him pushed the pot when the {6-Clubs} completed the board on the river.

Akkari is now up to 34,000 in chips.

Mizzi Muscled Out by Mortensen

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

Catching the action in five-bet pot we found Sorel Mizzi opening the action with his {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} only to be three-bet by an unknown player before Carlos Mortensen four-bet from the blinds with {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}.

Mizzi bumped it back with a five-bet to force the player caught in the middle to fold as Mortensen pushed. Mizzi called off the remainder of his stack, and when the board was spread {6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{Q-Hearts}, he hit the rail as Mortensen climbed to 35,000 in chips.
