JC Tran Straightens Blumenthal

Nicholas Blumenthal raised from the cutoff seat to 18,000 and JC Tran called from the big blind to see the flop come down {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Tran checked and Blumenthal bet 15,000. Tran made the call.

The turn card was the {8-Hearts} and Tran checked again. This time, Blumenthal checked behind to see the river card fall the {3-Spades}.

On the river, Tran fired 36,000 into Blumenthal. After a minute, Blumenthal made the call, but mucked his hand when the {A-Spades}{4-Clubs} was revealed from Tran's hand for a straight.

Yaginuma Fades River, Todd Eliminated

JC Tran raised to 18,000 from under-the-gun and was met with a re-raise all-in for 54,000 from Don Todd in middle position. Unexpectedly, Jesse Yaginuma shoved his own stack in from the big blind for a bit less than 90,000. Tran quickly mucked his cards and the hands were revealed.

Yaginuma: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Todd: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

Todd found little help from the {6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop, but the {9-Hearts} turn gave him a fighting chance. However, the river blanked a {5-Diamonds} and Todd was forced to the rail.

Potter: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

It would take a full sweat of five cards before Gonsalves received his fate as the {7-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} board ensure his straight being the best hand as he doubled to 395,000 while leaving Potter on just 80,000 in chips.
