Berlin Dodges Akkari's Outs

Nachman Berlin raised to 200,000 from the button and Andre Akkari announced a three-bet all in from the big blind. Berlin called for his tournament life and the cards were turned up:

Berlin: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Akkari: {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

The flop brought Akkari a ton of outs, coming {10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{J-Diamonds}, but kept Berlin in the lead. The turn brought {Q-Spades}, now giving Akkari any ace, king, or diamond as an out to win the pot. Unfortunately for Akkari, the river fell {10-Clubs} and Berlin was able to double up.

Carmody Spikes a King

Matthew Carmody raised to 200,000 from the button and heard Nachman Berlin reply with "All in" from the big bling. Carmody made the call and the hands were turned over:

Berlin: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Carmody: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

The flop looked bleak for Carmody, coming {J-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. Fortunately for Carmody, he was able to spike a card he needed when the {K-Hearts} fell on the turn. Now Berlin needed one of the two remaining fives to send Carmody home, but the deck did not comply, instead sending out the {8-Clubs} and allowing Carmody to double up.

Akkari Four-Bet Jams

Andre Akkari opened his button to 200,000 only to have Matthew Carmody slide out a three-bet from the big blind amounting to 800,000.

Akkari paused for just a few moments before moving all in having Carmody at risk.

Carmody uttered some inaudible remarks to Akkari before releasing his hand to slip to 2,615,000 as Akkari soars to 5,210,000 in chips.

Top Two for Akkari

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

With the board reading {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, Andre Akkari led out for 310,000 from the small blind with Nachman Berlin making the call from the big.

The {A-Spades} on the river saw both players check as Akkari's {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} was enough to see him collect the pot to the joy and cheers of his rail.
