Mercier Scoops Yet Another Big Pot

We caught up with the action on the second draw to see Jonathan Aguiar draw two and Jason Mercier take one. Mercier bet and Aguiar raised. Mercier made the call and took one on the next draw while Aguiar stood pat.

Aguiar threw out a bet and Mercier raised. Aguiar let out a huge sigh and rolled his eyes. He tanked for over a minute before finally tossing in a call. Mercier spread out {8-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} and Aguiar let his cards tumble into the muck.

Dwan Loses Big Pot

Level 5 : 250/500, 0 ante

Before the draw, the player in the cutoff raised and the player on the button called. Tom Dwan three-bet from the small blind and both players called.

Dwan stood pat while the cutoff took one and the button took two. Dwan led out and both players made the call.

On the second draw Dwan stood pat once again and the two remaining players drew one card. Dwan bet once more only to find the cutoff raise. The button folded and Dwan made the call.

Both players stood pat on the third draw and Dwan check-called his opponents bet. His opponent flipped over {7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} and Dwan lost a massive pot, knocking him down to around 1,000 in chips.

Vedes Can't Beat Eighty-Seven

Level 5 : 250/500, 0 ante

One player was all in before the draw started and drew one card on every street. Actively playing the hand was Gavin Smith from the button, Tommy Vedes in the small blind, and the player int he big blind. After a three-bet before the first draw, Smith took two, Vedes took three, and the big blind took one. Smith bet and was called by both players.

Smith and Vedes both drew two on the second draw with the big blind taking only one. Vedes checked to the big blind who bet. Smith got out of the way and Vedes made the call. Both stood pat on the third draw and Vedes check-called his opponents bet.

Vedes mucked his hand after his opponent flipped up {8-}{7-}{5-}{3-}{2-} and is down to about 10,500.
