Froehlich Takes Command

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

On a {5-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{2-Spades} board Eric Froehlich check-raised Matthew Bucaric's 14,500-chip bet to 40,000. Bucaric three-bet to 92,500 and Froehlich had to re-examine his cards. Once he checked them, he announced that he was all in and Bucaric wasted little time making the call for his whole stack worth 375,000 tournament chips.

Bucaric held {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts} but Froehlich had him in deep trouble with the {a-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Both players had flopped two pair but it was the top two of Froehlich that was well in the lead. The turn was the {10-Spades} and the river was the {9-Clubs}.

With that pot Froehlich is now just under a million, with 975,000 chips.
