Ronconi Slips Up

Level 23 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

You'll note that Darryl Ronconi has been knocked out of the top spot in the counts, and we have a few details on his slide.

He opened a pot to 40,000 from the hijack seat, and Jim Routos called to see a flop out of position in the small blind. It came {2-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {K-Clubs}, and Routos check-called a bet of 65,000. That led them to the {6-Spades} turn, and Ronconi fired again, 175,000 total. This time, however, Routos check-raised all in for 562,000 total. That sent Ronconi into the think tank, but he eventually uncapped his cards and slid them into the muck, dropping back to a still-quite-healthy 1.25 million.
