Daniel Sindelar Eliminated in 13th Place ($14,936)

Daniel Sindelar - 13th Place
Daniel Sindelar - 13th Place

No Limit Hold'em

Daniel Sindelar opened the action preflop by moving all in for his last 95,000. It was folded around to Noah Boeken in the big blind who made the call with {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. Boeken was racing against Sindelar's {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

The flop brought good news for Sindelar when it came {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, pairing his ten and giving him the lead. That lead was quickly taken away, however, when the {5-Spades} peeled off on the turn. The {A-Hearts} fell on the river and Sindelar hit the rail, having to find solace in his $14,936 prize money.

Vincent van der Fluit Eliminated in 15th Place

Limit Hold'em

Brandon Meyers raised from early position and Vincent van der Fluit made it two bets preflop from the small blind. With a {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop Meyers continued his aggression with another bet after Fluit checked. A call was made and both players got to see the {A-Clubs} turn.

Fluit then bet out and was summarily raised by Meyers, Fluit made the call and was all in.

Fluit: {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Myers: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}

Fluit was drawing dead as no card could come to save him. A meaningless {j-Clubs} rolled off the deck for the river and Vincent van der Fluit was eliminated in 15th place

Limit Hold'em

Matt Hawrilenko raised from early position and it folded around to Scott Montgomery on the button who three-bet the action. Hawrilenko called and the two saw a flop of {J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. Hawrilenko check-called a bet from Montgomery and the turn came {9-Clubs}. Once again Hawrilenko check-called. The {10-Hearts} rivered and Hawkrilenko bet out. Montgomery called for his tournament life but mucked when Hawrilenko flipped up {A-Spades}{7-Spades} for a straight.

Hawrilenko was able to scoop the pot while Montgomery took the walk to the rail.

No Limit Hold'em

Action opened with Matt Hawrilenko raising from middle position. Jonathan Lane made the call from late position and Brandon Meyers called from the cutoff. Patrick Renkers moved all in over the top from the button and was called by all three players.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}. Hawrilenko and Lane checked to Meyers who pushed out a bet of 45,000. Both players folded and the hands were exposed:

Renkers: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Meyers: {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

The turn and river came {K-Clubs} and {5-Clubs} and Renkers was sent home in 17th place. Meyers was able to pad his stack and shoot his way up to the chip lead.

Power Play by Matros

No Limit Hold'em

Matt Matros made it 12,500 from the button and Daniel Sindelar called from the big blind. The flop came {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{K-Hearts} and Sindelar checked. Matros continued out for 13,000 and Sindelar pushed out a raise, making it 34,000. After some pondering, Matros made the call and the two were off to the turn.

Fourth street fell {J-Clubs} and Sindelar checked. Matros quickly announced that he was all in and Sindelar mucked his hand just as quickly. Matros was then able to scoop a healthy sized pot.

Hawrilenko Has It

No Limit Hold'em

Matt Hawrilenko raised to 11,500 from middle position and was called by Brandon Meyers in the cutoff and Dylan Drazen in the small blind. The flop came {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{2-Clubs}, Drazen checked, Hawrilenko bet 16,000, Meyers called, and Drazen folded. The turn brought the {3-Hearts} and Hawrilenko bet 36,000 which Meyers again opted to call. The {q-Clubs} hit on the river and Hawrilenko checked it over to Meyers who bet 55,500. Hawrilenko debated for a bit before deciding to call.

Meyers said "ace-high" and Hawrilenko flipped over his {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades} which was good enough to take the pot.

Vincent van der Fluit Lives on the River

No Limit Hold'em

Vincent van der Fluit moved all in from under the gun and managed to find a caller in our chip leader Brandon Meyers.

Fluit: {a-}{3-}
Meyers: {a-}{5-}

Both players figured they'd just chop and things looked that way with a {A-}{10-}{k-}{7-} board, but a {3-} on the river gave Fluit two pair and a double up.
