Hinojosa Hammered, Akindele Annihilated

Michelle Hinojosa and Shola Akindele have been busted on separate tables as the 51 remaining players continue their quest for the bracelet and glory in WSOP Event #53.

Earlier on table 292, Hinojosa moved her last 18,000 into the middle with {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} before the flop, but Valerie McColligan woke up with {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}. The flop came down {4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and the repeat {5-Hearts} on the turn sealed the deal. The river {K-Spades} was nothing but an afterthought.

Almost at the same time over on table 286, Akindele got her last chips in with pocket nines, but Deborah Worley-Roberts' {A-}{Q-} spiked a queen on the turn and that was enough to end Akindele's tournament life.

More Chips Counts!

Two Tables Of Counts

We are down to our final 6 tables, and we are working on getting updated chip counts for everyone in play still. Here are the counts of players at Table 286 and 280.

A Few More Counts Before Break

Jett's Jam Takes It Down

Xiu Deng opened to 4,800 and was called in three places, including Karina Jett from the small blind.

The flop came {3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and both blinds checked to Deng, who c-bet for 5,600. Action folded back around to Jett, who announced she was all in for 23,700 more. Everyone mucked, including Deng after some deliberation.

Karina Jett is up to 60,000 while Deng has slipped to 87,000.

Osborne Ousted

New York's Maureen Merdinger is now up to almost 120,000 in chips after sending Deborah Osborne to the rail.

All the money was in the middle on a flop that read {8-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}; Osborne had raised all-in after Merdinger checked to her, but Merdinger snap-called with {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. Osborne needed a lot of help with her {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, but picked up the nut flush draw with the turn of the {K-Hearts}.

"Don't do the dirty on me, dealer!" Merdinger said. All clean - the river was the {J-Clubs} - and Osborne hit the rail.

Chips Ahoy!

Who's stacking and who's lacking?

Bennett-Martin Busto

Lauren Billings opened for 4,500 and action folded around to Elizabeth Bennett-Martin, who announced she was all in for her last 16,700. Billings asked for a count and then made the call.

Billings: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Bennett-Martin: {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Billings' two-pair with an ace kicker was good enough to take down the pot and send Bennett-Martin to the rail.
