Schulman Gets There

Level 5

2-7 Triple Draw

Nick Schulman raised from under the gun, and Phil Galfond (cutoff) and "Crazy" Marco Johnson (big blind) called. All three players drew two, and Johnson led out. Both Galfond and Schulman called.

Johnson stood pat on the second draw, and Galfond and Schulman drew two. Johnson led, and only Schulman called.

Johnson stood pat again, Schulman drew one, and Johnson check-called a bet. Schulman spread {8-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-} for an eight-six, Johnson mucked, and Schulman won the pot.

Binger Tank-Folds To Griffin

Level 5

Pot-Limit Omaha

Michael Binger called from the hijack and Ashton Griffin raised to 3,600 from the cutoff. Action folded back to Binger and he called, landing a {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop to the board.

Binger check-called 7,500 to see the {10-Diamonds} turn and followed that by check-calling 13,500 to see the {9-Diamonds} river. He checked once again and was faced with a bet of 38,500 from Griffin. Binger tanked for a good four minutes, but ultimately opted to give it up, slipping to about 90,000. Griffin upped his stack to about 225,000.

Durrrr All in and At Risk

Pot-Limit Omaha

Tom Dwan raised to 2,000 in early position and David Oppenheim re-raised to 6,000 as the next to act. Dwan announced pot and it was 19,200 total. Oppenheim raised to put Dwan all in who made the call and asked Oppenheim if he also had aces as the players turned up their hands.

Dwan: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Oppenheim: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Both players held aces and Dwan said “keep it low, deuce deuce deuce” before the {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop came down which gave Oppenhiem some two-pair and trips outs. The {10-Spades} on the turn took away those two-pair outs and now only a nine would knock Dwan out, otherwise the players would chop the pot. The river was the {5-Diamonds} and the players did just that.

Baker Chipping Up

Level 5

Pot-Limit Omaha

Anton Allemann raised from the cutoff to 2,000 and David "Bakes" Baker defended his big blind. The flop came out {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{2-Spades} and Baker checked to Allemann who bet 2,500. Baker called and the two players saw the {5-Clubs} turn. Baker checked again and Allemann bet 7,500. Baker called again and the turn was the {5-Clubs}. This time both players checked. Baker tabled {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and it was good enough to ship the pot.

2-7 Triple Draw

Tom "durrrr" Dwan raised from the cutoff, and Richard Ashby and Alex Kravchenko called from the blinds. Dwan and Ashby drew two, and Kravchenko drew three. All three players checked.

Dwan drew two, and Ashby and Kravchenko drew one. Ashby led out, and both Dwan and Kravchenko called.

All three players drew one on the last draw, and then checked. Dwan fanned {q-}{8-}{6-}{4-}{2-}, Ashby mucked, and Kravchenko flashed an {a-} before mucking as well.

There's Only One Guillaume Rivet

Level 5

No-Limit Hold'em

Preflop, Guillaume Rivet raised to 1,600 from middle position before Shaun Deeb pumped up the action to 5,000 from the cutoff. Rivet made the call and they saw a flop heads up.

The dealer spread out the {5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and Rivet checked to Deeb who bet 3,700. Rivet called.

The turn was the {8-Hearts} and Rivet check-called again, this time for 10,500. The river was the {5-Clubs} and Rivet checked for a third time. Deeb bet 25,500 and Rivet made the call again. Rivet had {a-}{k-} which was good enough to ship the 90,000-chip pot and get his chip stack to 115,000. Deeb, on the other hand, falls to 48,000.

Cassidy Drawing Dead as D-Negs Doubles

Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Pot-Limit Omaha

Daniel Negreanu limped under the gun and Joe Cassidy raised to 3,600 in the hijack. Negreanu made the call and both players checked the {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop. On the {2-Spades} turn, Negreanu led for 7,000 and after asking him how much he had left, Cassidy raised enough to put Negreanu all in. Negreanu insta-called and turned over {J-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} for a straight that was the nuts plus a flush draw. Negreanu asked Cassidy if he had any outs which he didn’t as he turned over {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and was drawing dead. The river was the {2-Clubs} and Cassidy paid the 18,800 total that he owed Negreanu who doubled up.

Glantz Shoves Klodnicki Out

Level 5

No-Limit Hold'em

We picked up the action on a {4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop where Matt Glantz called what appeared to be a check-raise from Chris Klodnicki. The {7-Spades} hit the turn and Klodnicki checked. Glantz bet 8,500, but was met with a Klodnicki raise to 29,000. Again Glantz called, leading to the {A-Clubs} river card. Klodnicki bet 25,000, but Glantz re-raised all in.

Klodnicki sighed before giving it up, dropping to about 80,000. Glantz, meanwhile, upped his stack to about 200,000.
