Seiver Serves Himself Up a Double Up

A player under the gun made it 700 preflop, Scott Seiver then moved all in for 7,200, the player in the cut-off flat called, and the big blind moved all in for around 46,000. The under the gun player folded, and action was back on the cut-off. The cut-off went into the tank for a couple of minutes before eventually folding, it looked like he wanted to show the table his hand, but instead made the correct choice of folding it face down. Cards were then tabled.

Seiver: {K-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Big Blind: {A-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

After the cards were flipped over the player in the cut-off announced to the table he folded {k-}{k-}. A crowd was growing around the table as the dealer put out five cards in the middle. They came out {q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{5-Clubs}, Seiver hit quads and doubled up again, and is now above 20,000.

Kelly Sails Chips to Thorson’s Boat

Dan Kelly
Dan Kelly

We only saw the tail end of a pot where the board was {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{A-Hearts} and Dan Kelly called a bet of what looked to be around 6,500 against William Thorson. Thorson turned over {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} for a full house, jacks full and Kelly mucked as the two headed in opposite directions.

Katchalov Catches a Set

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

After a flop of {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts} Mikhail Smirnov bet 1,200 from under the gun and was called by Eugene Katchalov on the button. When the turn brought the {j-Clubs}, Smirnov check-called a bet of 2,100 from Katchalov. The river was the {a-Hearts} and Smirnov again opted to check-call a bet from Katchalov, this time for 4,200.

Katchalov flipped over his {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for a set of threes and Smirnov mucked his hand.

Dario Semi-Slowrolled

Dario Minieri
Dario Minieri

Dario Minieri raised to 700 in the cutoff and was called by the button. On the {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop, Minieri led for 1,350 and was met with a raise to 5,000 which he called. Minieri then check-called another bet of 5,000 on the {5-Spades} turn and both players checked the {K-Spades} river. Minieri turned over {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for sixes up and his opponent kind of pump-faked before flipping over {K-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for kings up to win the pot.

Lamb Lays Out Lykov

Ben Lamb
Ben Lamb

We just caught a hugeeee hand that has propelled Player of The Year Candidate Ben Lamb to over 200,000, easily the chip lead in the room. Lamb and recent bracelet winner and Pokerstars Pro Maxim Lykov went heads up to a flop of {j-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{j-Spades}, and Lykov led out for 2,700. Lamb raised it up to 8,500, and Lykov made the call.

The {10-Spades} hit the turn, and Lykov checked. Lamb wasted little time in putting together a bet of 12,000, and chucking it into the middle. Lykov took his time, counted out the chips for the call, and tossed them in as well. The river was a dud, the {4-Diamonds}, and Lykov checked again. Lamb once again took very little time, grabbing six of his orange T5000 chips and flinging them in.

Lykov went deep into the tank, taking at least two minutes to make the decision. He cut out the chips, which represented nearly half his remaining stack, and tossed them in to make the call. They were chips that he wouldn't bring back to his stack, as Lamb showed {q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for a turned straight. Lykov quickly mucked his hand, then stood up to stretch and collect his thoughts. Lamb scooped the giant pot, and now has a comfortable chip lead on the field.

Gates Getting It Back

Garry Gates
Garry Gates

Garry Gates, who faltered a bit after being moved from the featured table, just won a big hand that put him back up to around 60,000.

A player in the hijack opened for 800 and Gates called on the button. The flop came down {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and the hijack led out for 1,225. Gates raised it up to 2,500 and the hijack just called.

The turn came the {a-Hearts} and the hijack led out for 3,250. Gates just called and the two saw the river {5-Hearts}

The hijack led out for 6,250 this time and Gates went into the tank. Eventually he made the call and the hijack player, resigned to his fate just said, "You're good" and mucked his hand. Gates showed {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for just a pair of tens and he now has right around 60,000 after scooping that pot.

Batista Trips His Opponent Out

On a board reading {6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}, a player bet 3,000 from the big blind and was called by Chad Batista.

The {A-Clubs} completed the board and Batista's opponent bet all-in for 6,000. Batista again called and his opponent revealed {9-}{6-} for trip sixes. However, Batista flipped over {J-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for trips with a higher kicker, which was good enough to take the pot and send his opponent to the rail.

Batista is up to 42,000.
