Gilmore is No More

Andrew Gilmore was all in preflop for his last 285,000 holding {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and just so happened to run into the {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades} of Brian Yoon. The {8-Clubs}{J-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop did not deliver Gilmore a much-needed ten, and the {K-Spades} left him drawing to just two outs headed to the river. Unfortunately for him, the {A-Clubs} hit the river and put an end to his title dreams.

Bonkowski a Ladies Man

Tyler Bonkowski
Tyler Bonkowski

Gregory Kaplan opened to 22,000 from early position and was called by Ben Tollerene in middle position. Tyler Bonkowski then shoved for his last 193,000 and Kaplan tanked before he folded. Tollerene counted out the chips for a call and then quickly put them in to put Bonkowski at risk.

Bonkowski: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Tollerene: {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

Bonkowski was in good shape to double up and did just that when the board ran out {9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{A-Hearts} for his queens to hold.

Feature This

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Allen Cunningham has joined the group over at the main feature table, taking the seat left vacant by the recently-departed Mark Dalimore. The five-time WSOP bracelet winner brings a stack of just over 500,000 to his position to the immediate left of Jean-Robert Bellande.

Seat 1 - Allen Cunningham
Seat 2 - Robert Lipkin
Seat 3 - Daniel Negreanu
Seat 4 - Rupert Elder
Seat 5 - Patrick Coughlin
Seat 6 - Evan McNiff
Seat 7 - Zachary King
Seat 8 - Ralph Robinson
Seat 9 - Jean-Robert Bellande

Meanwhile, they are playing eight-handed at the moment over on the secondary feature table as Jody Howe recently eliminated a short-stacked Samuel Golbluff. Meanwhile, it appears Manoj Wiswanathan has dropped a few chips during the first level of play and is now sitting with about 1.45 million.

Seat 1 - Scott Schwalich
Seat 2 - Manoj Viswanathan
Seat 3 - Harold Wassan
Seat 4 - Stefan Huber
Seat 5 - David Barter

Berlin Bites the Dust

Nachman Berlin was in middle position and opened for 24,000. Peter Feldman was in the cutoff and raised to 128,000. Berlin shoved for 345,000 and Feldman called.

Berlin: {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts}
Feldman: {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}

The board ran {10-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {6-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} and Berlin was sent the rail.

Kyllonen on Fortunate Side of Aces Over Kings

Nathan Meyvis raised to 23,000 in early position and Collin Moshman three-bet to 55,000 in the hijack. Jens Kyllonen then shoved for 356,000 total from the small blind and Meyvis folded but Moshman made the call.

Kyllonen: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}
Moshman: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

Kyllonen had the one hand that Moshman didn’t want to see. The {Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{5-Spades} board provided no help to Moshman as he doubled up Kyllonen.

Saul Well aBOVe Average

Brian Yoon came in for a rase to 22,000 in middle position, and Kevin "BeLOWaBOVe" Saul reraised to 52,000 in late position. Yoon then tanked for a while before he put in another raise, this one to 120,000. Now Saul went into the tank, and he decided to throw in the call. The ESPN cameras rushed over to the table, as it looked like a big pot was brewing.

The dealer dealt out a flop of {4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}, and Yoon bet out 115,000. Saul again went into the tank, and after some time of thought declared himself all in. Yoon SNAP folded, and Saul happily took the chips in, upping his stack to 870,000.

Castaldo Whiffs Royal Flush Draw

Michael Castaldo was all in preflop for his last 155,000 and called by Giuseppe Pastura.

Showdown
Castaldo: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
Pastura: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

No surprise it was another flip, but the {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs} was fairly surprising as it hit both players. Pastura had spiked a set and was still out in front, but Castaldo had picked up a royal flush draw. The {9-Clubs} turn was one pip off from giving Pastura quads, but he wouldn't need it as the {8-Spades} fell harmlessly on the river.

Castaldo missed his bevy of outs and was eliminated from the Main Event; meanwhile, Pastura is up to 990,000.

Kings Over Queens Dooms Cloutier Against Guinther

James Guinther raised to 24,000 in late position and David Cloutier three-bet to 58,000 on the button. Guinther raised all in and Cloutier made the call for his tournament life and the 370,000 that he had.

Guinther: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Cloutier: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

Cloutier was on the unfortunate end of a big pocket pair against another and the {A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{10-Hearts} board provided no help to him as he was eliminated and Guinther crossed the million chip mark.

Sorel's Sevens No Good

Sorel Mizzi
Sorel Mizzi

When we walked over to Sorel Mizzi's table, he was facing a short stacked all in of 121,000 preflop. Mizzi thought it over for about 20 seconds before tossing in the call. The cards were flipped, and it was a classic coin flip.

Mizzi: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The table had to wait about a minute to get the green light from the ESPN crew, and when they did, the dealer fanned a flop of {10-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} that put Mizzi well behind. The {a-Spades} hit the turn, and Mizzi was drawing dead. The meaningless river was the {k-Spades}, and Mizzi shipped the chips to his opponent. Despite the hit, Mizzi is having a good day so far, up over 100,000 from his starting stack today.
