Chip Counts at the Break

Hand #50: Matt Giannetti

Level 37 : 300,000/600,000, 75,000 ante

Phil Collins had the button. Martin Staszko raised to 1.3 million, but Matt Giannetti wanted to play for more. He three-bet to 3.025 million, and the table folded back around to the raiser. He gave it a look, but the fold came pretty quickly, and Giannetti's three-bet gets through to close the level.

Chip Counts

Hand #48: Ben Lamb

Level 37 : 300,000/600,000, 75,000 ante

Bob Bounahra had the button. The quiet Ben Lamb found the raise button, and he made it 1.35 million to go. Phil Collins defended his big blind, and it was heads-up to the flop between the two Americans.

It came {J-Spades} {10-Clubs} {8-Diamonds}, and the action went check-check to the {A-Spades} turn.

"That makes this hand a lot more interesting. I'll tell you that," Allen Bari said behind us.

But it went check-check again, and the {Q-Spades} filled out the board on the river. Collins checked again, and Lamb took his cue to make the bet of 1.8 million. Collins considered, but only for about a minute, surrendering his cards into the muck and slipping back to 16.225 million.

Hand #46: Sam Holden

Level 37 : 300,000/600,000, 75,000 ante

Martin Staszko had the button. It's push/fold time here for the short stacks, and this time it was Sam Holden sticking his last 10.55 million across the line.

Just as Eoghan O'Dea had done two hands ago, Holden increases his stack by a not-insignificant margin with that shove-and-take.
