Mamaliadis Making Moves

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante
Konstantinos Mamaliadis
Konstantinos Mamaliadis

Gregory Kaplan opened with a bet of 250,000 from the button, and both Pius Heinz (small blind) and Konstantinos Mamaliadis (big blind) called. The flop came {8-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Hearts} and all three checked. The turn brought the {A-Spades}. Heinz checked, Mamaliadis bet 375,000, Kaplan called, and Heinz got out.

The river was the {10-Clubs}. Mamaliadis checked this time, and Kaplan decided to bet 380,000. Mamaliadis check-raised to 900,000, and after some thought Kaplan made the call.

Mamaliadis showed {K-Spades}{7-Spades} for the nut flush, having perhaps earned a few extra chips with it via that river check-raise, and Kaplan mucked. Mamaliadis now has 8.2 million while Kaplan falls to 4.34 million.
