Hand #270: Pius Heinz

Level 42 : 1,000,000/2,000,000, 300,000 ante

Pius Heinz raised to 4 million from the button, and Martin Staszko flatted to see the flop.

It came {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}, and Staszko check-called a continuation bet of 4 million. On the {9-Spades} turn, though, he changed up his line and led out into the pot with 6 million of his own chips. That drew a long pause from Heinz, but he eventually made the call to see the last card off the deck, the {4-Diamonds}. The two men checked it down, and it looked like Staszko showed queen-high. Whatever he had, he couldn't beat the {9-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} of Pius Heinz, and the German is clawing his way back up the chip counts.
