Binger Doubles Through Bichon; Eliminated by Mizzi

With around 25,000 in the pot and a board reading {J-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{7-Clubs}, Nick Binger moved all with {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} in for 14,700 and was called by Thomas Bichon's {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Binger needed to dodge a seven to survive, which is what he did as the {J-Diamonds} turn and {4-Diamonds} river blanked. Binger doubled on the hand to over 54,000.

A short time later, Binger was again all in holding {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} on a {J-Hearts}{K-Spades}{9-Spades} flop. His opponent was none other than Sorel Mizzi, who had massive draws with the {10-Spades}{8-Spades}. One of those draws we made when the {Q-Clubs} hit the turn, leaving Binger looking for a ten on the river. Unfortunately for him, the {4-Hearts} blanked and his tournament came to an end.

Kings Hold for Negreanu; Watson Eliminated

After doubling Sorel Mizzi, Daniel Negreanu got right back in the saddle after raising from the hijack. From there, Mike Watson reraised to 16,000 from the button, Martins Adeniya made it 55,400 from the big blind, and Negreanu moved all in for 94,900. Watson called off for 27,000 and Adeniya made the call.

Watson: {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Negreanu: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Adeniya: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

Negreanu was ahead with the best hand while Watson was in need of some major help. The {3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop was fairly uneventful, and the {3-Spades} turn left Watson drawing dead. Adeniya could still win the pot with the case queen on the river, but it was not mean to be as the {A-Clubs} peeled off.

Watson was eliminated while Negreanu chipped up in a big way.

Mizzi vs. Negreanu

Sorel Mizzi
Sorel Mizzi

Sorel Mizzi was in the cutoff and raised to 5,200 after action folded to him. Jason Somerville made the call from the button, but Daniel Negreanu wasn't content and made it 20,200 to go from the small blind. Mizzi responded with another raise to 36,200, Somerville folded, and Negreanu raised enough to put Mizzi all in. After a call, the cards were turned up:

Mizzi: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Negreanu: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

It was the "oh-so-common" race that we've grown accustomed to in all-in preflop situations. With Mizzi's tournament life on the line, the flop came down {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, leaving Negreanu wanting. The {2-Spades} turn changed nothing, and neither did the {Q-Spades} river as Mizzi survived to play another hand.

Oliver Busts Adams to Vault Into Chip Lead

Chris Oliver
Chris Oliver

Action folded to Chris Oliver in the cutoff and he put in a standard raise. Brandon Adams was in the big blind and pushed back with a reraise. Back and forth it went until Adams found himself all in for right around 110,000.

Adams: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Oliver: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

Adams was in great shape to double, but Oliver had been known to get lucky a time or two before. As it turned out, this was one of those times as the {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop delivered him a set. The {5-Clubs} turn left Adams drawing to a queen on the river, but it was the {A-Spades} card of death. Oliver is now the new chip leader.

Bonomo Doubles

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Jennifer Tilly raised from the button and Pat Pezzin made it 16,000 from the small blind. Bonomo was able to go all in for 24,400. Tilly got out of the way and Pezzin called.

Showdown:
Pezzin: {A-Hearts} {J-Spades}
Bonomo: {6-Clubs} {6-Diamonds}

Board: {7-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {2-Spades}

Bonomo's sixes held and has 32,000.

Pair of Queens Good for Levi

Action folded to Sam Stein on the button and he put in a raise to 5,200. Nicolas Levi defended in the small blind and it was heads up to the {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Levi proceeded to check call a bet of 6,700 and the duo checked downt the {Q-Clubs} turn and {4-Spades} river.

Levi showed {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades} for a pair of queens, which was good enough to win the pot.

Pick a Card

Sorel Mizzi raised to 5,200 from the hijack and received calls from Jason Somerville and Men "The Master" Nguyen in the cutoff and button respectively. With action on Daniel Negreanu in the small blind, "Kid Poker" reraised to 22,000, forcing all of his opponents to fold.

Negreanu proceeded to tell Nguyen to pick a card, but "The Master" refused. Somerville wasn't so shy and was more than happy to pick a card, which ended up being the {K-Spades}.
