John Gordon Eliminated in 13th Place ($29,743)

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
John Gordon - 13th Place
John Gordon - 13th Place

John Gordon pushed his last 217,000 into the pot, and after thinking for nearly ninety seconds, Hunter Frey smooth-called from the cutoff.

Gordon: {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Frey: {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

With Gordon trailing and in desperate need to snag a piece of the flop, the {A-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} flop gave him some outs to a running chop along with his nine for a straight up win.

The {5-Diamonds} on the turn was on of those outs as he now needed any five or four to take half, or a nine to take the full pot. Unfortunately for Gordon, the river would land the {3-Diamonds} to see his tournament end in 13th place, and as he made his way to the cashier to collect his $29,743 in winnings, Frey moved to over 1.5 million.
